Absolutely tremendous performance as a lone striker. Won nearly every header, linked play superbly, held the ball up well and played his part in a very good team performance.

If we used him right he'd do well. He put in the kind of performance tonight you'd expect to Cahill to put in for us when he was here and had to play up top on his own. He held up the ball, won free kicks and a hell of a lot of headers. I also think if you'd have played Cahill on the wing he'd have been abysmal for us, like Naismith has been there.
I don't want Naismith to start behind the striker for us, he's obviously no Ross Barkley but we've got to stop playing him on the wing and only bring him off the bench to play in his proper position.
