Naismith? Thoughts?

wide players with a tendency to drift in can be a good thing when they play in front of an attack minded fullback. It's part of the reason Baines and Pienaar's partnership is so effective. If coleman and naismith work together a little more they could be a good threat.

I think Mirallas is our best option at right wing, but i don't think Naismith is bad by any stretch

Every single person around me at the game today said Naismith was fine, saying he was invisible is ridiculous.

Witch hunt. Fellaini and Pienaar were both far worse today.

Witch hunt? Hahaha. Think you'll find this is the Naismith thread, so I'm talking about Naismith. And he was utter b'llocks again. The amount of times Coleman got forward and didn't have an option. Absolutely no chance to build attacks down that side.

Yeah, you've just proven it with your post. Either you didn't watch the game or you have a predisposition to hating him. He was not 'utter bollocks', as the fans around me in the ground testified.

Ah well spose if the fans in the ground testified well then, must be certain he played well. I keep my eye on him more than most because he hasn't done anything to impress me.

When people who admit that they themselves don't think Naismith is good but say he played fine then yes, i tend to think that backs up the point that he did just fine.

You said he was invisible and that is just factually wrong, he saw plenty of the ball particularly in the first half as Howard continually kicked it to him. Then there's the fact that he was a goal line clearance away from scoring his fourth goal in 15 appearances (proper crap for a winger).

What do you reckon when Coleman gets the ball and Naismith runs to Jelavic?

I'm not sure what you're trying to ask tbh. Naismith makes himself available plenty on the wing. Go back and actually watch the game properly, every time he received the ball from Howard, he was on the wing. A player who plays centrally drifting inside when deployed on the wing is hardly new, Pienaar does it plenty.

He had 21 touches of the ball today. And he didn't score did he so it doesn't matter.

I think the question is quite obvious, what do you think when he runs right next to Jelavic and not to support Coleman?
