Confirmed Signing Nathan Patterson

Don’t want to turn this into a Rangers invasion here but just wanted to join to wish Nathan all the best.

He is a fearless player. Regardless of whether he’s playing against Celtic, Peterhead or Lyon he’ll always play the same way and is never afraid of getting forward. Before he had to sit a suspension he was absolutely immense. Him and Aribo tore Celtic apart in a cup game (same game Kenny scored an own goal) and it more or less sent Diego Laxalt who was quite a decent coup for Celtic to get back to Milan.

Naturally as a youngster he can make a few mistakes when on the ball. He had a slow start to a few Scotland games but it never affected his confidence and got better as the game got along. I’d honestly say he’s better in a four rather than in a five man midfield.

Sad to see him go but to make the reported figures for a player that’s only played 27 games is a no brainier to let him go.

All the best for the rest of the season.

Ps I’m not the real Nathan Patterson couldn’t really think of a decent username.

It seems like theres a real chance for him to succeed in the long term but doesn't feel like he's going to be able to start games instantly as a decent amount time will be required for him to adapt to the rigors of the league. That's my gripe, it's a luxury we cant afford. it's a clever signing in a vacuum but we need a starting right back now not three months from now. Sign him for sure but even a loan for the arsenal dude or someone similar, who can also play midfield would be an ideal stop gap while hes bedding in.
