Of course it does and it’s not his fault shouldn’t of started the season as first choice rb and should of been loaned out for a season of championship football or even up in Scotland he’s come to us with no senior football under his belt and meant to be a regular under the circumstances we’ve been in of course he’s expected to perform and the reason he should of had a loan to play without the pressure and at school you aren’t paid a week what people are earning annually.
So you critique him and then explain it’s not his fault. Whilst advocating for his development. Definitely more contradictions in your statements than full stops.

You're just being very petty.. Patterson is gonna be a brilliant Rb for us going forward. He's just had some really bad luck at a crucial time, so your jumping on his back. If you want to blame someone blame Dyche for picking Holgate/Godfrey before him since he's been back...
Listen I’m not being petty we’ve stunk the place out for 2 seasons now and it’s because of buys like Patterson and mykolenko to be involved as first choice players mykolenko will never be ready and Patterson needed some senior football to find his feet and that shouldn’t of been at us in an already poor team, all injuries have done is set him back and I believe he’s not much better off starting next season as he has been this unless we’re in the championship, I think he could be a decent player but not at the expense of your apprenticeship being at an already struggling premier league side.

You seem so educated I’m sure you can put the full stops in for yourself. Well no he doesn’t pick himself and I’m sure he wants to play but he wasn’t prepared for first team football in the premier league, and we can’t/couldn’t afford to rely on a young lad with no senior football experience to come in and start every week and he’s cost us goals this season as have a lot of other players who also aren’t good enough.

….I think he’s a decent one but the number of injuries for one so young is a big concern. I don’t believe it’s simply down to bad luck.
Always a worry a player who came through Scottish system for me. Never goes well on the injury front since the premier league era.

Was just showing what he is all about and noticeable curve upwards in performances but these injuries are now the real issue.

I had a slight epiphany after a few rums recently.

Is it possible that the fact our injuries are concentrated at full back is down to something specific - training ground, pitch, methods?

It just seems more than bad luck that not only ALL our full backs are injured, but also anyone that can even fill in there.

Anyway, just a thought. Like I said, rum was involved...

Could be circumstances, rushed back.

Isn't a 'slight epiphany' like being slightly dead?

Re the full back injuries, I believe that a certain centre forward has been injured a fair bit, and a key centre back so frequently injured that Dyche didn't play him, even when 'fit'. (Possibly a serious error, as it turns out, but entirely understandable). Coleman had done well to stay as fit as he has, for a 97 year-old. Misfortune, is just that, mate. Fate is a malevolent sod , sometimes.

Who was it here who said a while back that the training pitches at Finch Farm were meant to be really firm? Can't be too good for players in the long term if that's true..

Absolutely torn it up in Germany.
Relegated.
Doesn't mean he's nt a better RB than Patterson. Everton are almost a relegated team in the PL...and Patterson cant even nail down a place here.

If we survive this season as a PL club he has to go out to a Championship team.
