Seamus Coleman
Nathan Patterson
The key stat is that we concede less when Seamus is playing. He also adds leadership and therefore is still the best option to start games over anyone else at the club at RB.

I don’t think anyone can replace prime Coleman’s ability to be everywhere on the pitch. The guy had an engine like no other and was an animal. Even after that grisly injury and at his age he still is a capable player in this league which says a lot. People credit Iwobi for being the water carrier but Seamus did that from RB back in the day which shows you how far we have fallen.
Patterson is a powerful runner like Seamus (though definitely lacks the quickness of prime Seamus), but he shows a bit more vision when he gets into attacking areas. If we get a goalscorer, I can see Patterson becoming very effective.
Defensively he has looked fine and I’m not going to judge him on the goals our side conceded because the majority of those games were under an incompetent clownshow in Frankfat Lamplard.
