Cos Branthwaite has class and a golden future. That's the difference

Pattersons limitstions costs us goals. Lets see now what happens for a few games with no other option..

You mean dyche who's experienced, has coaching qualifications and only interested in getting his team to win? And sees the players every day? Yes you know more than him is right.

Patterson is a £20m player and a Scottish International. How much longer do we have to give him to show some talent?

Thing is only Steven Gerrard and Rafael Benitez have ever believed in him and can see any talent. Must be red tinted glasses.
Bolded bits are lies that you have been proven wrong about many times. Give it a rest.

Its says alot that a 90 year old dementia suffering left footed pensioner is preferred at RB than patterson. Why you may ask? Patterson can run. Has aggression. Determination. All good attributes. Its because the lad has zero brains. Not one ounce of footballing nous. Just pitiful the whole situation. Farcical.

From frequenting this thread it appears the main defence of Nathan Patterson is that one of his critics on here doesn't like Rangers.

Lies is a strong word my friend.

The £20m is true and actually an understatement given our actual commitment...

£12m up front.
Wages £1.5m Yr 1, £2m Yr 2
Yr 1 top up for staying in the Prem £1m
Agents £1.3m

That's £17.8m so far.

5.5 Yr contract that has a min £10k a week wage increase. So started £30k but will be on £80k by end of contract. Plus the remaining £3m for staying up.

As for managers yes the Kopite duo are the only ones to have played him consistently and not dropped him.

Bear in mind we paid this cash for a wonder kid after 11 games in the Scottish league.

Yes absolutely nothing dodgy between Stevie G and his friend Rafael.

I think if you actually read what people say, most acknowledge he is far from the finished article and will make mistakes and is still learning. (But reading the 1/2 posts every 5 pages that about someone disliking Rangers and that being your takeaway is disingenuous)

Most also accept that ideally he would not be our first choice RB at this point and that coming to a basket case of a club that’s scrapping relegation every season is not ideal for a young lad at 20-22 years old. Hell, our best RB of the last 20 years or so didn’t start playing RB for us until he was like 24 after signing for us 3 years earlier and that was when we were good.

The fee matters not one jot. As that has zero to do with Patterson and any anger about that should be aimed at the board/owner.

The reason it is polarised and then people start making out like he is better than he is currently is because some specific posters continue to lie about stats and figures repeatedly and can’t even acknowledge when he has had good performances etc because they want to hate on a young lad for whatever their reasons are.

Gerrard wasn’t even at rangers when they sold him so it’s nothing to do with him. Benitez also left straight after we signed him so didn’t play him. More lies.

When talking about how much a player is worth, no one includes wages etc. they use the fee. Which was 12m. You know what you are doing.

Also, the fee has zero to do with patterson. Take it to the board/owner/Benitez thread.

Is fair to have questions about the lad have called him out aswell and given him praise. But not going get better sat on the bench and young has not really looked any better imo, with coleman out is time to put the lad in harrison has a smilar work rate to mcneil. So would be the best time for me is a good test whoever he plays against as they have tow good wide players both sides if they swap

Harrison RWB all day over Patterson's clueless cameo appearances.

Just prefer him as the rm is a chance for him at rb the lad needs take his chances this season. Can all argue about if good enough but is down to the lad to nail down the starting rb position
