Did he look like a CF to you ?

I never said what he looked like I’m telling you where he played when he scored nearly all of his goals.

Last season:

Season before last:

But I’m not commenting on his performance? I’m breaking down this silly idea he should be loaned out and that Garner can apparently play RB in the PL.

Also not sure why i can’t watch Leipzig games and Everton games. Can I only watch one game per weekend.

Considering this is an Everton forum and you post on here I would have thought your loyalty would be to Everton not German Powerade FC

Reality is, when Coleman is fit he will be starting at rightback. Patterson needs games , he has in his career started about 20 league games. A season in the championship would be beneficial for him and his career.

I mean, I had a life and missed both games yesterday. I’d have watched Everton today too if I could record it but apologies, I’ll sack off all weekend plans in future to watch us get beat and await the magical moment Dyche plays Garner at RB and we win 9-0.

That's unfair. Patterson has been poor since he arrived other than one game: the derby.

No one is capable of persuading a lot of other people against their own judgment that Patterson is not a PL player. He palpably isn't and that's why you see this reaction.

However, most are prepared to give the lad a chance, what with all his injuries and all that.

Unlike you, who declared one of your Jihads on him, before he`d even kicked a ball, based on nothing more than the club we`d signed him from.

Our first game of the season and you're more interested in the German Charity Shield.

Patterson needs games and a season in the championship would do him the world of good.

His lack of ability in the air as a fullback given he is north of 6 feet is hard to understand. Is it a lack of spring, bravery or coordination? We need Cahill to spend a few weeks on the training field with him

I’m backing him to prove people wrong. There’s a good player in there. I remember Coleman’s first few seasons as well, playing on the wing at times because Moyes didn’t fully trust his defensive capabilities. Then he moved to right back and had a period of j rushing our way too easily for big tackles and getting beaten. He looked like a walking pen at times in the early days. Then it alls tagged coming together and he got better and better with confidence and experience. Patterson can do the same.

Wasn't so much the goal that overly concerned me or even the miss, but how often does he overcommit himself only to get turned? Seemed to be happening every ten minutes yesterday. Needs to catch himself on quickly

Nathan Patterson didn't "look right" to me yesterday. Don't know if he likes a drink or not but at times during the game he looked like someone who had been burning the candle at both ends. I thought he may have picked up a knock, to be honest, and even asked as much in the match thread.

He was jogging back at one point head back blowing for tugs.

But let's not kid ourselves it's a fitness issue. He's just not very good. Certainly nowhere near PL class.

Whoa whoa!!!

Patterson was player who couldnt even get into rangers first team and was clearly a pup getting sold to us by GBH.

I'm sorry for you that you couldn't see that like, but maybe dont blame the messenger who could recognise the reality of the situation at that time.

What helped Coleman out was a loan to Blackpool to play games and get time as a starter to breed some confidence.

To me, he looked like he had a bit of a hangover issue at times. Also, in the second half, he appeared to be struggling maybe more than he should have been. I do like Patterson though and would like to see him get a bit of a run in the team. So if you could hold back with your "jihad" that would be brilliant, thanks :D
