I thought the same looked to be blowing and red faced,Nathan Patterson didn't "look right" to me yesterday. Don't know if he likes a drink or not
Could of got Aurier on a free Matt Doherty, 2 off the top of my head to Replace/cover with Coleman while Patterson develops away from the club, Id imagine scouts would have a much broader knowledge on RB or you’d like to think so as the club keep getting things wrong on and off the pitch. At the time of signing him we needed a first team ready RB same goes for Mykolenko as our only LB think we just put LB names into google generator and his come out, both the wrong signings as we needed first team quality neither of them are.People can’t on the one hand want Everton to have a recruitment policy of developing younger players, and then absolutely berate those players for developing in the first team if they make mistakes.
If there’s a right back in world football that is world class going forward and also world class defensively and has experience then Everton are not going to be able to afford him.
Who is this first choice right back we should buy? At our budget we’d end up with some very average PL right back who might just do a defensive job. There’s very few players in world football who can get up and down the way Evertonians expect their fullbacks to.
We were absolutely blessed with Baines and Coleman but those players don’t come around all the time. We couldn’t afford a modern day Leighton Baines. I remember him making errors as well when he was first in the team.
