Mcneil most definitely didn't look his best at the start of last season mate. The only time he looked anywhere near decent was once Dyche came in and he was out on the left.

Nah McNeil was decent for a spell at the start of last season then suffered, like the rest of the squad. He played well under Dyche but he also had good spells under Lampard, even if people didn't want to admit it at the time.

Not his best game but you can’t blame him for the goal, he was having to cover for the central defenders who weren’t where they were meant to be.

1st game back from injury. Looked to me like the tactics were for him to keep coming inside to make a 3rd Centre back...

Nothing he was doing was similar to last season....hopefully tactics to blame and hes back to normal next match

It was bad...they could have had 2 more goals because Patterson moved to CB leaving players to ghost in on our right. The question is did Patterson do what he is instructed therefore the blame of our exposed right is on Garner? This narrow defending will be our undoing

Easy to blame Patterson and Yes he is culpable but let us all be honest........if we stuck half of our gilt edged chances (sitters) we wouldn't be so harsh on him. He has to take blame but not as much as our forward players. They lost us the game today

Young at RB and Mykolenko might be a better option.

I’m not sure he’d get a game in most championship sides. Can‘t defend. Can’t attack. He literally has nothing to suggest he’ll ever be a premiership player.
