Mate he got ripped apart from the off , just not up to the standard required sadly. He’s probably giving 100% every game he plays and nobody can fault him for that, he’s just not good enough … that’s not the lads fault, it’s down to poor scouting.

And this isn’t a knee jerk reaction to today, I’ve never thought he was a top level player since we signed him, he doesn’t look comfortable at all at this level.
Ripped apart? Come on mate 😂😂 they barely created anything

I wouldn’t criticise him covering centrally for the goal but once he went with his runner he had to cut out the cross
100% was out of position covering so the man at the back wasn’t on him but the poor attempt of cutting it out and initial reaction to following his man was.

…I expect Branthwaite will play on the left, so will not be ‘alongside him’.

I do think it’s a nonsense statement that ‘Evertonians go In on young lads’. Patterson has been here a season and like all players (young or old) they have to earn the fans respect. It doesn’t mean being a world beater but it does mean showing signs you’re good at what you do. If players don’t show that promise they’ll be rightly criticised on forums like this.

Patterson has been disappointing, it’s perfectly reasonable for fans to say this. I’m sure we’d all be delighted if he was making a positive contribution.
If branthwaite plays left side, then Tarkowski will be right side so we will have a competent cb “alongside him”.

It isn’t a nonsense statement, go back and you will see blues nailing the young players constantly, at the match and on forums like this.

He was playing well prior to the injury, and since then his form has been patchy, no worse than others - I won’t crucify the kid for that.

He missed an absolute sitter and he was not good on their goal

He does some good stuff with the ball but he does some really bad stuff too. I'm not sure he's any better than when we signed him which is a concern.
Needed minutes before he came still needs minutes now should be on loan not starting games in the premier league.

I'm not so sure he does tbh. What do you see him excelling at? Does absolutely nothing in the opposition half of the field apart from pass backwards, sideways or over/underhit every single one of his crosses. He's slow. Not particularly physical either. Very underwhelming.

C’mon, Evertonians hate all their players eventually. Let’s face it, we know they are a fair few posters who wouldn’t be delighted if he was having a good game, they’ve wanted him to fail since he came here.

…nonsense, I was one who always stood up for him. I genuinely believe even the most sceptical of posters would be chuffed if he was playing well.

it’s ok to be wrong about someone.

Hes right back and he got into an excellent scoring position, so that's definitely the positive. Missing the chance is obviously a lot less positive.

Come on mate, he has Never had a run of decent form.

Sorry, it wasn’t you I was referring to!
