He’s exactly the same kind of failure as him wrong signing when we needed first team ready players and just as crap as him. Trying to replace 2 decent reliable full backs who chip in with goals/assists with them 2 clowns, with a sprinkle of Iwobi and Maupay yes that’s the kind of we’re so used to seeing with that recipe and no surprise we’re constantly poor with such a squad. Beto isn’t the answer either yes he will definitely help but defence is awful and midfield isn’t great either still need 2/3 players in for any kind of chance of survival

I refuse to put Mykolenko in Patterson's category. I've seen competency in Mykolenko's game last season when we needed security down at least one flank.

I'd never say he's what we need at LB, but he's a different level of player to Patterson.

He couldn't find feet for 45 minutes. There's no need to look for one instance, he was dreadful all that half. Garner came on and settled that down without ever having a special game himself. That's what I saw.

Where he goes to trap the ball and it rolls under his foot or where he touches the ball out of play for a corner ( that they scored from ) when he just needed to shepherd it out.

Gana not Garner. Gana had a good game and settled things down greatly, I agree.

Garner should be our right back on Saturday.

Garner wasn’t great at RB last night. He looked better than Patterson because gana was doing a load of defensive work that garner and onana hadn’t done in the first half. Then when we scored and our players started ignoring dyches hoof ball tactics, he put some good crosses in (also knocked the ball off the sideline several times like Patterson did) but I’m sure Godfrey went to RB and Garner had some more freedom to get forward to make those crosses.
