Just because they've been good players ala Frank Lampard, doesn't mean they automatically make good coaches.

There's a player in Patterson, who's better than what he's currently showing, he's 20, so it's an important time in his development, unfortunately for him and us, it's under the current regime.
He's coming up to 22, will some people stop making out he's a youth team player.

He's had about 4 seasons in and around first teams and failed to breakthrough to any sort of decent level.

Deal with what you're seeing and not what you want to believe is there.

Ok mate. But what does Patterson getting hooked agianst Doncaster tell you?
That he was poor. I’ve already said that. But so were most of the team but Dyche chose to take the 3 youngest off. Like I’ve said, garner didn’t look great at RB either yesterday and you are shouting for him to play there.

Our best spell was when the players stopped listening to Dyche who was constantly signalling for balls over the top which Patterson had tried repeatedly but Chermiti had no one within 30 yards of him so it was pointless but was clearly how Dyche had instructed them.

He needs a tutorial how to play as a full back and position play. He is to light weight to be caught out. Which he has been exposed far to often this short season already.

The biggest disappointment for me is that we were told he was this mercurial modern fullback who's better going forward than defending.

So far, he's been about as deadly as Tony Hibbert and as defensively solid as Jonjoe Kenny.

He can improve at the back with time, but he just doesn't have what it takes as an attacking full back.

Connecting the dots here, Patterson’s drastic downturn in form can be explained by Davek whispering “you’re crap” repeatedly in his ear everytime he falls asleep. He’s subliminally destroyed the lad.

Patterson was targeted by Doncaster.

Let that sink in. Doncaster.

The manager saw it and acted. The introduction of Gueye and Garner to RB settled us down. They were kept pretty much in check down our right second half and it allowed us to get at them.

Unbelievable the level of delusion on display here.

I’d say Mykolenko and Keane’s side was very much targeted.
