I prefer Patterson to young. And to a point Mylenko (although ok today). 3 of the worse fullbacks in the league tho. I just think Patterson could become average prem player, one it's past it, the other I think had about his best game he will have for us. Hope Mylenko proves me wrong like.
Young is poor at rb.

How hes been dropped instead of Young is beyond me.
at this rate I agree. Patterson has been involved in a few breakdowns but Young is just as culpable if not more. I at least see Patterson potentially improving. Young is a fine backup that you can put into the game late in several positions- he is by no means a starter. He shouldn’t have been brought into that role. He should be used for his versatility. Also Patterson really actually gets forward. He needs to know when cover is there for him and whatnot, but like Myko we need our fullbacks to get forward. We don’t have a natural winger that can beat his man and get crosses in solo.

Mate - without Patterson we've looked a.lot more solid and finally won a game. You're now indulging in Donald Trump esque type monologues that simply have no bearing in fact.

Young played well today. Seamus will soon be back to improve things further. Patterson will be (has to be) shipped out on loan in January.

…as somebody who has supported Patterson, I’m not in the least surprised that he’s been dropped. His performances have generally not been good enough, other than a magnificent cross at Sheff Utd, Patterson has failed to grab his opportunities.

I wondered if Garner might be given a run at RB, but with a relatively young and inexperienced back four it makes sense to have Young in there. Totally understandable even if you disagree with the selection.

I'd imagine he comes back in on Wednesday and really needs to step up if he's to get his place back

Maybe get some.minutes in him if Coleman is still a way off but as for the Premier Leaghe I honestly believe that ship has sailed sadly. Key now should be just to keep him fit and ready to go out on loan/sale in Jan. We need to be more ruthless and get even a couple of million back on the original transfer fee.

The fact that there's some people who'd shove him into the back four still just to be able to crow about it on an Everton forum is a bit concerning and underlines how clueless many are.

He's been here 2 years and here's his contribution: one decent derby appearance and one pinpoint cross for Danjuma v Sheffield United.

The jury is in: he's utter 'kin mince.

Young will do for now, but we desperately need the skipper back in at RB to give us the semblance of a defensive-attacking balance in that position.

Its one thing to say hes not been up to par.

But he has shown a level in previous games that eclipses Young. Who is utter dross.
