2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Another in a long line of players who has gotten better in the eyes of Evertonians the less he plays.

When everyone was fit he was still behind Coleman and Young - and that was before whatever happened in Portugal. He's been here 3 seasons and we've won 5 league games he's played in (4 starts).

The lad's not even Scotland's first or second choice RB. He's utter dirge. Just another crap signing we wasted money on.

He was scotlands first choice before he was injured , you use the fact he wasn't played by dyche as evidence he's not sufficient to start, when it's been established dyche is wary of playing younger players that don't have premier experience over veteran players despite their diminished quality.

When everyone was fit he played about 10 consecutive games, was better than Coleman and Young in every one of them, and then got told off by Dyche for smiling and banished to the shadow realm before getting injured in that Chelsea game (where he was a sub for an absolutely atrocious Coleman as well). His banishment coincided with our winless run too.

Dixon will be the same, maybe without the banishing as he'd know better than to have fun with the game he plays for a living or find things funny around Sean Dyche, but he's even younger so he's about 10th in the pecking order behind Michael Keane no doubt.

He might not be the best player in the world but that's the same as all of our players currently anyway as they're all average - and he's the best option from a pretty meh bunch of right backs. Shame we have an absolute mingebag of a manager who values "experience" over literally anything else.

Going to have to be more specific there when it comes to being injured. Maybe he was first choice 3 years ago but Hickey plays RB ahead of him when he was fit and they play Ralston ahead of him too now.

Lampard didn't play him either and he loved Gordon so he clearly wasn't "wary of playing younger players". Maybe, just maybe, he's actually crap and not good enough for Premier League football.

The most he's every played consecutively is 7 for us, because he's constantly injured, and we won 1 game in that run. What a player.

Again, he's just another in a long, long list that gets better the less they play. If he went back to Rangers you'd never hear his name again.

Had the 4th best defence in the league after those 7 games, just so you know. (With Lampard who supposedly didn’t know how to defend).

Lampard did play him. Not that first 6 months when he came in to keep us up and rightfully picked the club captain as needed leadership.

But the start of the next season, picked him ahead of Coleman who was on the bench until Patterson got injured and Coleman came back in. Then when Patterson was fit again, he got the position back.

I put in "about 10" as a ballpark as I genuinely didn't bother checking, but no, it was truly less at 5, 6 and 7 with 1 benching between them.

We didn't win 1 game in that run either:

But you're right, he missed 6 games, which isn't great, and it was for the rally as well, where Godfrey was brought back from his own random banishment.

Oh yeah also 6 games is a lot, unlike Coleman, who missed 12.

I'm not even counting Young in here as A) I very much hate the fact he exists, B) he was used in just about any position possible.

Still better than young and Coleman.
