NCAA (US College) Sports

No way my Horns should have been that close to Bama. Very proud of their effort today.

Aggies, on the other hand, can do one.

I lived and worked in College Station several years ago. Got free tickets a few times. I lived fairly close to Kyle Field. Midnight Yell Practice was one of the most unique things I have ever seen.

Bonfire was incredible. I was there when they built it like a skyscraper. The engineering to make such a giant structure collapse into itself is something I will never forget.

Tragically sad ending to the bonfire tradition.

As undergrads, a handful of pals and I once went to midnight yell practice in Collie Station. In the midst of all the lunacy, and emboldened by drink, we started singing "The Eyes of Texas" rather loudly. Mind you, we counted among our number about 20 high school friends who were Aggie students so we were afforded a measure of protection. Still, not at all sure how we avoided a massive brawl.

More of a family rivalry, really, with A&M as the annoying little brother.

No matter who you are or where you are, you have greater job security than Scott Frost does this morning.
I went to bed at halftime of the UF - Kentucky game. So did the Gators, I see this morning. Baby Stoops can coach.
My Hoosiers prevailed over those Idaho Vandals ("Vandals!"). The real season starts soon, though. (looks North and East)
Bama looks beatable, LSU ain't all that, Aggies are in disarray, and we know a Razorback will eat anything. Confusion to the enemy.

I watched GA Southern/Nebraska. The better team won. Had no idea that's where Clay Helton landed after USC.

I hope they just keep Frost until October 2nd. My Hoosiers go to Lincoln on the 1st.
Ga Southern is another of those mighty SunBelt teams, like App State and Marshall. That transfer portal works both ways, people are discovering.
How about that. App State was just pushing A&M around by the end of that game. Great stuff.

As a Washington fan we thank you for Michael Penix Jr.
