Worked hard but he doesn't get in danger areas to get on the end of crosses enough, Mcneil put in some good ones on Saturday. I would actually like to see Simms get more time at home.
Can't score a goal to save his life, but I like the other aspects of his game

I felt bad for him when his header was cleared off the line. He got a really good, intelligent contact on it to divert it to the right part of the goal. Just unlucky Leeds had a man on the line.
Thought he did well for the goal on Saturday, but he is so far away from what we need.
He does a lot of things right and works hard
Just can't score, which is a bit of an issue for a striker
Honestly if we played two up I think he'd thrive because he'd be a real thorn in the defences side and the other striker could score the goals
Yeah, I want to see him in a front 2. If Simms had pinged that blind ball into him late on instead of Doucoure, it'd have been 2-0.

Before he came here, he had a 1 in 4 scoring record in the Prem. That’s not top quality, but there aren’t many strikers outside the top teams who can claim much better. Literally nobody did well under Lampard, and he’s not the sort of big, physical striker who would fit well into this system, but I back him to improve and start to do OK under Dyche.

He's not going to suddenly start slotting, I just can't see it in him. The best we can hope for is him occupying space well, making defences tired and hoping and praying the opposition don't figure him out too quickly into games cause then we're effectively playing with 10 men. It's not ideal when it's goals we're after but it's what we're left with whilst DCL is out and Simms gets "bedded in".

I thought he really did work hard and that impressed me , he doesn’t really suit our style and doesn’t really pose a goal threat both of which are a real problem .
Unfortunately With maupay as our one upfront we’ll continue to struggle .
