"This is what I get for not scoring. No one should ever have to deal with this."
Well, actually Neal, what you get for not scoring week after week is 50, 000 pounds.
Annually that is 2,600,000. Your three year deal is worth 7,800,000.

People say horrible things out of frustration. I am not condoning it & I don't do it, but it happens. Fans expect to see passion & competency on the pitch. What would happen in any other industry if workers repeatedly failed to do what they are paid to do. Every player has their off games, every striker has dry periods, but you fail to score goals that are there for the taking.

You, along with all the other self-indulgent, greedy baskets that play pro football are happy to take the money of hard working people. If you can't handle the vitriol due to an endless number of p!ss poor performances, maybe it's time to walk away from the game. You have accumulated far more money than you need to live comfortably.
Edit: I've misread you. Apologies. I think.

I can see that.

Probably overstated on my part.
Like I do understand in some ways what you're saying, that they're paid big bucks to have the pressures of a footballer on their shoulders, but I don't think there's enough money in the world to compensate for that sort of abuse. You can't control the apes who message players like that though, I wouldn't be using a public social media account if I was famous in any shape or form, to be honest I hardly use my own now!

He does everything right apart from finishing and at this point he's become a bit of a scapegoat for everything we do on the pitch, same with Keane. I feel sorry for him, and hope he gets a move where he can build his confidence again. Amazing that after we hear from Dele all about the struggles players have with mental health that people still feel comfortable going after this young man in that way. No one deserves it, particularly a young man who clearly does his best and wants success for the club like all of us do. If he does play next week I hope he absolutely smashes it.

You have defended it, your post absolutely stinks of victim shaming. If you think your token gesture of 'I'm not condoning it' means anything at all then read through the rest of your post.
As I said, I probably overstated my point.

Maupay frustrates everyone. I think modern sport frustrates a lot of supporters with overinflated wages & egos.

I certainly don't agree with people posting that stuff on-line or booing at games. Doesn't help anyone.

Clown.

Fair one, maybe not a clown.

What he earns however is absolutely irrelevant.

Blame those at the club who signed him, and I don't mean Thelwell and the recruitment team who identified Bilal Toure last season. Instead blame our revered board led by transfer guru Bill who went for 'premier league experience.'

Douccoure put in a worse showing than Maupay yesterday, doesn't get 5% of the stick. Fans have preset ideas of what they're going to see at Goodison and it's a really hard cycle to break.

Even if by some miracle he scores next week, some fans would be moaning "Oh no, dyche will stick with him now."

Even with pre-conceived views its really not hard to stick to forums or whatsapp groups or whatever, actively seeking out a player to tell him you want his mum dead takes more than a moment and by then you should have realised you are being a tit.

…..your first sentence is one of the most inaccurate I’ve ever read on this site.

He really doesn’t ‘do everything right apart from his finishing’. Indeed, you need to watch his performances to see how much he lacks in the way of hold up play, close control, occupying defenders, running the channels, technique, quality and application.

He’s been one of the worst forwards I’ve seen play for us, yesterday was actually the best he’s been in my opinion and I still wouldn’t give him more than 5/10.

….hopefully none of the social media abusers are on GOT. He’s bad but it shouldn’t spill into his private life;

Would agree entirely, there were a couple of instances were the ball came back of the keeper and he just has no instinct to attack the space looking for the next phase, same with the runs he makes in the box most of the time. No only is his technique poor and his physical attributes insufficient, his instincts aren't there either.
