Surely they need time to get things in place?

They're taking a positive step to correct a mistake, why criticise?

I would have anything along the lines of 1983 - 2012

What, 1983-1991 with the barbed wire either side of a guard tower with a massive F above it? It was terrible. The two from 1991 onward were just very cluttered, the 2000 one particular.

The club have announced today that we only have until 15th September to give our feedback on the badge and say what we want,

http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/08/22/club-crest-announcement

Unless I have missed something, it doesn't say how we tell them what we want..... Just that there will be an online questionnaire

Talk about over-complicating something.

It's not hard Everton, just choose a badge that doesn't look completely ****ing hopeless to Stevei Wonder and then use it.

Jesus wept.

It is complicated. You try coming up with a design that pleases us all.

It's a flipping nightmare of a task.

Well, it seemed to work up until this year.

They're just ****ting themselves now and avoiding responsibility...throwing it onto fans.

After all the complaining about the badge, shouting about the lack of consultation and people coming up with what appear to historical records of EFC in glyphs, if this post doesn't have someone in the marketing department at Everton repeatedly banging their head on a desk while chanting "They're not normal", nothing will.

You can't seriously be saying that this consultation is a bad thing.

It's crazy to whinge about them doing precisely what they should have done the first time.

Look, it's not rocket science is it? I think you and I can agree right now that it'd only take someone who has any feel for the club whatsoever about 30 seconds to sift through, say, 10 designs and choose one that wont cause a ****storm of protest.

It's been that easy since 1920. Apparently though some muppets down there at L4 tasked with it haven't got the sense they were born with and think hiring design companies will get it right...and when that ends in disaster they then shift the decision onto hundreds of thousands of fans in some arse covering crowd sourcing fiasco.

In Bill We Trust. The People's Club. Always listening to the fans.

Oh David, on one hand complaining sarcastically about them not listening to the fans, and on the other complaining that they've thrown it open to the fans, are you a little bit Schizophrenic mate?

'What they should have done first time'? Why should they have dumped that responsibility over to a committee consisting hundreds of thousands?

They got it completely and utterly wrong last time because they thought going with some 'concept' visual representation was the marketing tool they needed. They're hardly likely to **** up again on that score.

There's no way anyone at the club could be dumb enough to deviate away from tradition. Literally anything close to what went before would be acceptable.

I wish they put half the time into finding cash as they have hand=wringing over this badge fiasco.

Boy, this has got you angry.

There's no contradiction there. I was referring to how they'd been told umpteen times in the build up to that abortion's introduction that it wouldn't work and it should be stopped.

On a separate note, if these are the guys designing our new badge, their portfolio doesn't seem very impressive.

http://www.kenyons.co.uk/clients.asp

I don't know how many of those logos they are responsible for (clearly not some of their bigger clients) - but there's nothing that gets my heart racing on that grid.

The OS says they are responsible for consulting the fans, or something. They ain't designing it.
