Of course they’re going to be gutted to see him go. He’s overseen the most successful era of the club most of them have EVER seen.

Which got them to more or less the same place we are currently at. With a hell of a backing from the owners to boot.

There’s absolutely no evidence to say that he can perform beyond that level. Which we as a club, need to be looking for. Otherwise, honestly, what’s the point?
There's evidence that he can construct a team to improve immeasurably, such is what we need.

And you could level the "there's no evidence to suggest he can perform beyond that level" at most of the serious candidates for the job. Apart from maybe Galtier, but I'm sceptical as to whether he is even available and willing anyway.

I’m a little bit concerned at this growing trend of suggesting that selling a player - and replacing them - is somehow the same as them getting injured and missing the season. He didn’t ‘lose’ jota and Doherty, he sold them.
He sold them? Or the club sold them?

Had a quick look through the 'Nuno' thread and it's unbelievable. We have fans ripping into 'our new Manager', who hasn't even signed for us, whilst at the same time hero-worshipping a Manager who got us to tenth in the League then walked out on the Club.

Towards the end of last season our form was bad, and so were our results, but Carlo Ancelotti wasn't to blame, the players were. I have a feeling that if Nuno does take over, and we carry that same bad form into the first few games of next season, it will suddenly be the Manager who is to blame, probably for not motivating the players etc.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again... this place is a madhouse :D
Not when we are all fast asleep!!

Probably because Ancelotti is a proven winner and infinitely more experienced/successful than Nuno..

lol @ someone says Nuno plays pressing football.

My word... about as wrong as saying Allardyce plays tiki taka.
I think that is the general disappointment re this appointment. The club needed a jolt. Carlos football failed to deliver. In fact it was woeful intensity and excitement wise. Its is unlikely nuno deliever this badly needed intensity. Hopefully he will deliver results.

If he doesnt deliever results I can see the crowd turn fairly quickly on him. Outsiders might view it ...well what do evertonians want or expect. Alot of us will be saying quicker intensity in everything we do. Off the ball, tackling pressing etc.and forward thinking in possession. I genuinely dont think we will get that with nuno. So for me its similiar to silva, koeman, Carlo, sam and martinez after his first season. Why Martinez changed pre season into his second season I'll never know. His first season was exactly what we needed and it was sustainable. It is a safe appointment and maybe the board have decided this current set of players could possibly get everton closer to the bottom and therefore they dont trust we can play a game with intensity.

Hopefully nuno will suprise us and if not a least get results to challenge for Europe.

No if it is Galtier or Ancelotti again we will be singing his name from the highest point to save the Highlight Slave Revisionists from themselves.

If it is Nuno we go in hard and early.
Think you are going from the sublime to the bleedin’ ridiculous there orly. Erm if you don’t mind me saying so.
