Someone who has us playing fast attacking togger. It hit home when we got stuffed by Man City and Gary Neville made the comment that “Everton are kidding themselves that they are a football team”. We need to totally rebuild our footballing identity because Im not sure we have one. The back end of last season was awful. Whoever can do that- That’s your man.
100% now the problem if finding him and attracting him and mist if all not settling for someone who will have no footballing identity. Would love someone who would get us playing faster more attacking football with hard work off the ball.

Whoever we appoint needs to stay here several seasons. We are an absolute joke club at the minute and managers don't even stay 2 seasons.

I want someone who is young and hungry, with an element of risk but with a high ceiling. I dont want the boring, predictable, so called "safe" pairs of hands like Dyche or Moyes.

It'll be Howe or Nuno for if we go down that route. Nailed on.

Favre (who's been out of a job for a year) would be an utter disaster if he wasn't here for a long term.

Lampard or Slippy...a job way too big for either of them.

Conte or Sarri wouldn't touch us with a tenfoot as they're not managers who build sides or would want to drop to our level.

In my mind we're not just back to square one in terms of bringing someone in to progress, we're back to square one from the bottom.

Hes the best available, we would need a LOT of new players to make his system work.

He’d just do what Carlo did. Buy in a load of experienced system players, not get his own way at some point, kick off and leave us with a horrid squad. I mean the man signed Ashley Young, Kolarov, Vidal, Eriksen and Alexis. Would absolutely cripple us in pursuit of a League Cup.

I think the bottling culture in the team is quite evident and has been for years to be honest, I’m not talking of cups per say, I’m talking of games this year when we really could have pushed on and put the top 4 under pressure, when that was lost, we bottled a game with Sheff Utd, fixtures before it to press home for Europe and the Villla game after, I could go back over the last four seasons and pick out similar scenarios. This squad of players don’t have the right attitude, leadership or confidence in my opinion. I don’t have much problem being beaten by a better team with more quality, I do have an issue with being beaten by a worse team with a better attitude, especially with a prize like European football on the line, season in, season out - it was a Wolves game the season before this, just capitulation. My opinion mind.

Im honestly, a bit miffed with this appointment, any one I want I don’t think we will get. I’m concerned really as we need to make some appointment and I hope we don’t just do it, to do it, pickings at the moment seem a bit slim in terms of options or we are well down the food chain. That is of course unless we throw money at it, which got us where we are now with Ancelotti today, so that isn’t even a sustainable model.
I still feel like even those games, Fulham, Sheffield United, and the rest aren't us bottling it because we can't handle the pressure or something as much as we're just not very good and not very good teams lose games sometimes. It would be different if we were taking on all comers and out playing teams weekly and then just crapped it, but we played poor stuff a lot and sometimes we won sometimes we didn't. I don't see much difference in how we played at Arsenal or how we played against Sheffield United just one time we scored and the other time they did. We had a lot of games like that.

This is not what Carlo did
