Not the system part but the general gist is correct.
That part matters a lot.

There are risks to weigh with Conte no doubt. It may not be worth it. But there is not a better man in terms of getting to a club, implementing his system and getting it to work than Conte. I'm not quick to get behind signing older players but if they have a specific purpose it starts to sound a bit better.

Come home, sweet prince.
"You called?"

I think the bottling culture in the team is quite evident and has been for years to be honest, I’m not talking of cups per say, I’m talking of games this year when we really could have pushed on and put the top 4 under pressure, when that was lost, we bottled a game with Sheff Utd, fixtures before it to press home for Europe and the Villla game after, I could go back over the last four seasons and pick out similar scenarios. This squad of players don’t have the right attitude, leadership or confidence in my opinion. I don’t have much problem being beaten by a better team with more quality, I do have an issue with being beaten by a worse team with a better attitude, especially with a prize like European football on the line, season in, season out - it was a Wolves game the season before this, just capitulation. My opinion mind.

Im honestly, a bit miffed with this appointment, any one I want I don’t think we will get. I’m concerned really as we need to make some appointment and I hope we don’t just do it, to do it, pickings at the moment seem a bit slim in terms of options or we are well down the food chain. That is of course unless we throw money at it, which got us where we are now with Ancelotti today, so that isn’t even a sustainable model.
The mentality at the club doesn't demand success from top to bottom. Its weak as you say we blow chances to kick on we don't come back from behind we crumble under pressure. So we need a hands on disciplinarian who also plays energetic attacking football, whoever that is I don't know.. But I agree our issues are deep.

I still feel like even those games, Fulham, Sheffield United, and the rest aren't us bottling it because we can't handle the pressure or something as much as we're just not very good and not very good teams lose games sometimes. It would be different if we were taking on all comers and out playing teams weekly and then just crapped it, but we played poor stuff a lot and sometimes we won sometimes we didn't. I don't see much difference in how we played at Arsenal or how we played against Sheffield United just one time we scored and the other time they did. We had a lot of games like that.

I’d disagree mate, I think their is a serious attitude, leadership and confidence problem at the club, I think that does impact results and subsequently success. I take on board your point about good results against bigger teams that just frustrates me more, we have good players who are capable. I think we have good bad players with bad attitudes, lacking in leadership and who can be rattled to loose confidence. I think it’s embedded and I think it’s been evident over seasons. Almost symptomatic since big money came into the club.

For me part of the reason this is true is because there isn't anything to be confident in. If you get the platform right then you can fall back on that when it matters. You can go into games knowing your job and knowing your teammates know theirs. It all comes back to having a plan.

Conte fits the bill he is a winner, but I doubt he would come and he would demand more from the board they wouldn't appoint him. Also he seems to leave team's after two seasons.
