All of the reports originated from the one source i.e Dominic King so it is possible they are wrong. Communication from the club is diabolical as always though and they haven't even done anything to quash the rumours so god knows what is going on. Not even sure they know tbh.
I did find it awfully coincidental that King put that tweet out not long after that whole butting heads thing with Sam Carroll over Rafael. I feel at times he's come off quite passive-aggressive to the fans, which I attribute to his inner kopite coming out.

As others have said - he ran with the story in the Mail and every other journo, including Romano, seems to have parroted it. Yet since then there's been absolutely no further development communicated by anyone since.

Everton set to announce manager this week – Want him signed before working on transfers

The signing of manager Nuno Espírito Santo should be announced by Everton this week, according to reports from the Portuguese media.

Most local newspapers are confident that the former Wolves boss will be landing at the Goodison Park this summer, and Record is the one today bringing an update on the situation.

They actually have a big story saying the Toffees are interested in the signing of Matheus Nunes from Sporting before saying that the transfers are pending the manager’s arrival.

It’s claimed that Espírito Santo will be ‘presented as Carlos Ancelotti’s successor’ during this week, and for a matter of ‘timing’, Everton want the announcement before closing any signings.

Record writes that the manager ‘shouldn’t escape’ from Everton and will ‘naturally follow’ the business to take Matheus Nunes out of Sporting now.

Even though the Portuguese media has been quite silent regarding Espírito Santo’s future, we now get the first signs of what will his next club be.

You don't need to 'back the manager.' Back the club. Not the manager or the players. I for once think this group of players is incredibly unlikeable and would happily be rid of most of them. If Nuno wants to cut loose half of them for some of his Portuguese friends maybe it can work. He'll probably keep Gomes however, so it's already looking grim.
Unlikeable ??

They are footballers working at their job.
When they win we like them, when they lose we don't.

Every club is the same.

If people could back Carlo for another season after the rubbish we have just seen they can back Nuno who as of now hasnt let us down once
