OK I've been hibernating these past few weeks, thoroughly hacked off with Everton for quite a while now. Wondering why I bother to expend all this energy when all the club give me back are false dawns and non-winning managers, lazy (injured) players and the longest non-winning streak in English professional football..

And then they appoint no-marks like Buchan, Bingham, Lee, WALKER (for whom we paid compensation for poaching him!!!), Smith..

Moyes.. who made us "punch above our weight" - REALLY.. We are EVERTON FC 9 TIMES winners of the league

And then we brought in Martinez who, after a couple of decent seasons got sacrificed after a poor run (and he isn't doing so bad now is he?) before we seriously went off the rails and appointed Koeman, ALLARDYCE, Silva...

We got what everyone thought was a great manager in Ancelotti but he disappeared faster than Gbamin..

So what do you want eh? Eddie Howe? Graham Potter? Big Dunc? Nuno?

So he was Liverpool's manager? Did he win things? YES!

Can he organise a team? YES

Is he actually a decent guy (forget the jibes) YES

Is he the best we can do right now - PRETTY MUCH (unless you think we might get Gaultier or someone similar)..

So, bury the hatchet and think about all the bad things our club has been serving up these past (whatever) years and get behind this appointment if it happens. If you want our club to progress it's time to think about our identity.
You answered your own question

Still think it's extremely likely the club is using this so we all back Nuno when he's appointed. Both will not last longer than 18 months and Rafael probably less. Moshiri can clearly no longer be trusted, and it's likely we are just treading water till a man like Usmanov comes in and actually shows Chelsea and City levels of ambition.

Such a bad take.

Lack of money is nothing to do with it. Look at Leicester.

I mean he shouldn’t really care. Hire the manager who will get the best results.

The fans were spaffing their pants over Ancelotti and look how that worked out.
That's the only thing keeping me sane, there is simply no easy fix and no magic formula to suddenly get us up the league or silver, what we thought was one of the worlds best was atrocious for us

No thanks. Fed up being told to get behind god awful managers. Demand and expect better.

I agree but risk vs reward. Mendes got Wolves in the conversation that they had no business with being in and got them the player now it’s club’s responsibility to develop him. If he fails the club can’t displace the blame to the players agent
With double representation now legal, Mendes actually represented both the club and player and management in this. The club can certainly not sign the youngster as recommended but they also need to take the risk of no more Mendes players for a considerable period.

Ultimately these decisions can cost clubs a fortune in trying to get rid of if it doesn't go well.

Im clearly in the minority but I’m not that arsed about Benitez being in charge. I want results and a bit of consistency and structure over the next few seasons. Any emotional stuff about him managing the RS is not really a consideration.

I'm more concerned that he's been on a downward trajectory for a few years and clearly got his pipe and slippers out going to China. Just don't see it as an inspired choice but I'm also a bit perplexed at who can sort us out.

Jesus wept. That is depressing
Not really, Carlo, James, Bramley moore, hundreds of millions in funds, the Liver building, Sponsorships, USM etc

We SHOULD be laughing, we have been very unlucky with the outcome of some of his appointments, appointments that went on to manage Real Madrid, and Barcelona

Having a go at Mosh is madness
