Speaking as an outsider its difficult to know what kind of Manager you would be happy with , looking at some of the candidates Nuno did well at Wolves but the it went a bit downwards , i think the guy at Brighton Potter has something about him he might do very well with some money for your club

The problem is mate when you say it works for the players in what way? What’s he gonna do differently that Silva or Ancelotti couldn’t do with them? If Ancellotti couldn’t get a tune out of them the best of times and they didn’t up their game, they’re not gonna take some bum manager who’s done nothing in his career of significance seriously are they?

I think this is going to be the case with almost all of the options linked. People genuinely underestimate what a bad bunch of eggs we have in our ranks with this current squad.

I believe it would work with the players and Brands which is an opinion of mine still to be proven
In as far as Potter , I like his style of play , has done good work with Brighton has lot of potential IMO he is a different direction than past choices which could be the answer .
As far as bad eggs - agreed still have a number to move on , we have done recently still WIP and not going to happen overnight
I really wanted Ancellotti to work , we have been thru a number of managers in a relative short space of time its not an ideal place we find ourselves , and whomever comes in has a massive job on their hands .

them managers wouldn’t do f all here

Lampard. The man so out of his depth that he had the eventual Champions League winners scrambling for a top half finish.

Come on...
He got top 4 with a transfer ban and Kepa in nets.

It only went wrong for him when they ripped up the blueprint and signed a lot of new players.

There are better options out there but he's far from the worst shout. He's the style of manager we need - someone to build a squad over time and give chances to younger players. There are no shortcuts for us here and we can't sign James & Allen's anymore. We need something more sustainable.

Ralf Rangnick would be a great choice. Knows exactly how a re-build should go - could imagine a good relationship with Brands - and had a steady career with a solid reputation. Very well respected coach with high-pressing system.

I'm not against this at all, but isn't Rangnick more of a DOF himself? How would the dynamic work with him as a manager and Brands above him?

Yet we also heard that Brands and Silva were at odds over Mandzukic, Silva wanted him and Brands wanted to put faith in DCL.

If we are having a DOF, then Carlo appoimntment went against it, and with his signings. So who knows !?!

To a point but I think Carlo held more weight to bring in players than Silva, so brands was always gonna work with him in some capacity different to Silva
