Why would our training ground sponsor have any say in who our next manager is?

He is not just the training ground sponsor, his company has naming rights on the stadium.

He is calling the shots in the back ground, another way to beat FFP (so he does not need to own us, but can put money in another way). He mate Moshiri owns us in the eyes of the world (but he calls the shots).

I do think a lot of the angst towards Benitez is social media based though - I think after 12 months of being locked out of the ground 90% of the fans will just be happy to be back in GP.

I think the 10% will be looking to give a good boo but I think the majority will just get on with it tbh.

I agree he'll have less rope than other managers would.

What I would say is that Nuno was given a club in Wolves who was built for him/Mendes and spent £300 million to finish 7th twice which could be his glass ceiling - could he come to Everton and do any better?

Whereas maybe Usmanov/Moshiri think if Benitez is given £300 million to spend over 3-5 years his glass ceiling his higher?

I trust Usmanov with this whatever he goes with.
Nope.

Have we seen white smoke rising from the Liver Building (or Goodison or FInch Farm or Usmanov's yacht) yet?

No, Benitez is being brought in to guarantee mid table finishes for the next 3 years until we move into the stadium. He will not be given £300m to spend.

Inappropriate Language
Benitez must the most arrogant and greedy tosser there could possibly be to even think about taking over at Everton. He can't be blind to the fans attitude towards him - he's hated by most Everton fans. Even the feelings of the RS fans are that he is going to ruin his standing with them. So he must just think "f*** 'em, they're only fans and they don't matter."
Is he doing it to prove himself professionally? Well, I don't think so. He went to China - was that to prove himself? Obviously not.
So there's only one possible motivation that he has and it's money, pure greed.
Moshiri, Usmanov or whoever is making the decision - you're about to stand in the biggest , most rancid pile of s***e imaginable and you'll never get rid of the smell it will leave.
