I agree mate they'll be thousands ruled by emotion - I just think they'll look very silly if he comes in and makes a success of it and stabilizes the club despite not giving him a chance from day one.

Im the first to admit I can turn quickly on a manager/player but not on day 1 lol
If you took the emotion out of football we’d all go and support the RS.

We will all look silly one way or the other. Nobody wins from it.

People keep stating all this stuff at me like it matters. It doesn't matter. "What about this?", "what about that?" I don't give a toss about any of that.

It is so staggeringly easy to get. I do not get why people are not getting it. It is a very black and white thing for me. You do not employ a manager at a football club who most of your paying customers do not like. It's so basic.

You can't take the emotional and sentimental out of it!

"We could easily solve crime if we had no criminals"

Words that mean nothing. You can not solve a problem by pretending it's not there. It's such simplistic nonsense thinking.

How about we don't wait and see and don't do it in the first place because it is an utterly ridiculous business decision?

It's a ridiculous business decision because of the reasons we are both aware of. Which is essentially people overreacting to a business decision.

I understand all to well what the problems are, I've tried to argue for a call of reason. And it may well fall on deaf ears. But it's better to have at least 1 sensible counter post to the alternative, bitter, irrational hatred, where people can't even be honest enough to say what the real reasons for opposition are. I have watched as people have defended the behaviour of using personal insults in the banners, many on here said the people who did it were right to it and it was perfectly acceptable.

The problem is, our fan base will be negative to almost every single appointment, so by your reckoning, any decision we make will be a ridiculous business decision, obviously with differing extents. If they are down to choosing between several bad options, I hope at least they pick the bad decision that is best for the club.

do you know what our motto means?

One aspect I'm not seeing discussed with the impending appointment is just the already general fragility that exists within the squad. With the miasma awaiting benitez's reign I just see the players further crumbling from such a hostile environment. I'm sure Benitez is already nonchalant being reviled but how will the players handle the tension? Also if you're a prospective recruit why would wanna subject yourself to the thunderdome and a club in turmoil.

Yes they are weak many of them they wouldn't need many excuses to capitulate again.
