We've been done over by the lack of talent available but there is never a need to appoint someone the fan base clearly don't want.

They are building you a shiny new £500+ million stadium on the docks and have invested more money than most owners in the league without the benefit of CL revenue to keep the taps on.

Our fanbase have become so spoilt in recent years imo not Usmanov/Moshiri's fault the likes of Walsh/Brands pished money up the wall like drunken sailors on trash like Iwobi, Gomes, Siggurdsson, Delph, Toshun, Bolasie, Klaassan the list goes on.

If the stadium has now become Everton's reason to exist and is going to be an excuse for us continuing to tread water and for every dreadful board room decision then maybe it's best we don't have it? Can anyone name a team who went from also ran to contender purely because of a new stadium? I can't think of a single one but I can think of examples of teams that went backwards after the construction of a new home, Arsenal being the obvious one.

There’s a lot of money tied up in it with investors. They’re not going to invest if we are relegated. Get the stadium built and the squad improved to a point where we can give the train set to a riskier appointment with a potential bigger reward.

A bit like the squad we gave to Martinez, it was good enough that there wasn’t that much danger of it going badly wrong. This squad isn’t anywhere near that, a wrong turn and we’d be in a relegation scrap no question in my mind.

If benitez is appointed there will be a section of supporters no matter what will not change there mind on him and have it in for him ,then there will be a section that's meh but if results don't go our way will turn very quickly and the whole place turns toxic not good for supporters, player's

I don’t like him don’t want him as manager but looks like it’s happening. If he comes in a boots out the Icelandic slug an Alexi Iwobi/Delph hopefully all 3 but am happy with any at this point. Don't want to be two greedy like Benitez. I will support him from day one.

I'll judge him on the same terms as any other manager - performances and results and the trend in same.

There was a large degree of detachment in appointing him and we should approach in the same manner.

I'm not going to expect miracles from him. I just want to see him implement a way of playing that maximizes the squad we have, and see him get a level of work ethic and commitment from the players though it's questionable whether anyone can do that.

He is not going to get much time, but he needs some. The longer we have a manager in the job, whomever it is, the better are our prospects for some stability and progression.

appointing Benetez would be treating the fans with utter contempt. i hope you have all let the club know how you feel. if not e-mail them now, after FSW has been appointed is too late. CEO@emails.evertonfc.com is one that should get to the ceo.
for me if he's appointed i'd want the entire rotten board out, you can keep your stadium, i want a club with a heart and soul.

True mate but better the devil you know would rather Moshiri/Usmanov for all their faults than having some football fan in Blue Blood Bill appointing relegated managers on sell to buy budgets stuck at GP.

Fans have very short memories. We lucked out under Moyes Kenwright would have taken us down had Moyes not turned out such a good manager.
