Most of the names you have mentioned I wouldn't entertain tbh.

Gaultier would be one I'd look at, Gallardo another and Ralph raginck and I'm sure there are more

Sure there are others more knowledgeable than me who know exciting, young, decent managers/head coaches from around the globe that we could sound out.

We don't need a caretaker type appointment, which is what Benitez is - even if he hits the ground running (or gets the miracle he needs) he ain't gonna be around for the long term.

We are stable and have the chance to look to put in some proper foundations and build to a system, by appointing a future proof manager who can work with the dof model whilst we still move ahead with BMD - Benitez is a footballing dinosaur and a small time appointment.

Palace had more ambition going for Favre.

Thats where I disagree mate - Benitez like him or not is twice the manager Favre is and his CV shows that.

We all want a fancy foreign manager without looking at the bigger picture - what can Favre do with Siggurdsson and Gomes in the midfield?

We know Benitez can make us tough to beat, can Favre?

Can Favre handle our dressing room of shirkers? He just bolted on Palace last minute crying he aint ready to get back into management whereas Benitez has the balls to go to Chelsea and now Everton despite knowing he'll receive dogs abuse - I know which mentality I would rather to handle this group of players.

I get that some are grudgingly accepting Benitez as our next manager - it's a form of self defense/preservation. I don't think anyone has actually said they wanted him?

Anyway taking all the emotion away regarding his rs past/the small club insult etc, and base the decision on footballing prrformances and his previous efforts at his other previous clubs, does everyone really, truly believe that in the entire world of football management (including managers in jobs because we could actually try and hire one of those if we wanted), benitez is the best option for Everton football club?
I'm sure you'd find a better option in Caldy, let alone the rest of the world.

If you think it through Phil, which one of these advises who?. For me, Moshiri is the real brains in this strange arrangement. He's the influencer. The fact that Uzmanov gave him such a big chunk of his business shows how much he relies on his experience and guidance. Yes, as regards wealth Uzmanov is the senior guy here, and the ultimate decision maker. But as regards influence and guidance, I think it's Moshiri who comes up with the ideas and solutions.
That's a good point although we've got to consider Moshiri's position in the business - the Chairman. He is also an accountant by trade.

While he will have influence in the wider business, I do suspect the typical hierarchy may be retained with Moshiri advising but the ultimate decisions at the top.

Again, pure speculation of course.

I would of thought that before this decision to appoint benitez ,this strikes me as a decision devoid of emotion or influences from within .If moshiri muted this idea I'm sure kenwright would have been working 24/7 to change his mind .
I suspect this one is on usmanov it's a very abromovich appointment whether it works or not remains to be seen

Maybe Rangnick doesn't want to come though mate?

It would also mean Brands would have to leave which wont happen.

People also forget not many managers may want to work overseas at present away from their family during a global pandemic that we are still in.

A lot of factors in play at present other than the accepted Everton social media of "Moshiri just wants to destroy the club for the lulz".
He’s wanted job since Moyes left, he was interviewed then and in 2019. Brands record is poor, he’s part of the problem. If the club needs a shake up then it needs a shake up, not some half arsed appointment of a manager well past his best.

These are strange times. When I met up with my 3 mates (who are long term season ticket holders) last month, they were seriously contemplating not renewing for next season. They had gotten used to not going to the match and found they weren't really missing it. They were all frightened to bring up the subject because they each didn't want to let down their mates. Once one of them brought it up they realised they were all of the same opinion.

How many other fans are going through the same thought process.? Let's be honest, people have probably saved a fortune in not going the game, and the football served up at Goodison last season would hardly inspire people to renew their season tickets. Plus so many games are now shown live.

Raffa taking over as manager may just be the trigger they need to decide not to renew. It will be interesting to see how this pan out.

No I agree fully and said as much in my post. But the point I'm making, is in that scenario it would by Moshiri advising Uzmanov to appoint Benitez, not necessarily Uzmanov insisting on Raffa.
