Why do we need steadying? We always finish mid table, seems pretty steady to me.

Evertonians fear rolling the dice. We have a relegation thread every year if we fall to about 11th. People say we are doomed every year after we lose a couple of matches in October.

We should be taking as many gambles as possible to push on because we could not be any more a midtable club. Look up midtable in the dictionary and it will say Everton FC.

What have we to lose from taking a few risks?

i suppose the only way that happens is if he’s successful or semi successful which would be something to get behind . At this moment it chills the bones mind .

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe its remotely plausible, but the ease with which someone could countenance it is completely beyond me.

Every day this goes on, it becomes more and more farcical.

He's an out of work manager, there is no complex negotiations with clubs or other parties, he is desperate for the job.

Whats the hold up, what type of James Bond type production could they be doing for the announcement. If am honest, I badly don't want Benitez it makes me feel slightly ill the thought of him managing us, however right now I am more fuming at the sheer incompetence of the club in this whole thing. If its another manager and they are waiting fine, but the longer they let this drag out and it is Benitez, the club are going to look much worse then they are.

Some communication either way would probably help.

there is no arguing with this, I cant believe some of the blerts on here thinking we are a regular top six team, we have the potential to be, but that's all it is, and like it or lump it, Rafael is the best we can do at the moment.
We had a Hollywood manager, and he dropped us first chance he got, and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again but expecting a different outcome

i like the suggestion that he might deserve a £3m bonus for keeping us up , that’s a personal favourite
