again making stuff up, I joined a few weeks ago because I was concerned about our next manager. I'm not a fan of Rafael, to be honest if it was up to me I would have taken the risk and gone after Potter, but the owner seems to want Rafael, and whoever pays the piper calls the tune. As fans just have to make the best of it
We know our place guv....doffs cap, bows and scrapes.
Not to benitez

Why would two billionaire owners, having not long appointed a top manager to see him walk away not at least try and bring in another top manager to replace him?.
Because the outcome would be the same, a resignation once a better job offer comes in.
We don't want a top manager, we want one that fits us, unfortunately Rafael might fall into that category right now, and the mishandling of the club by Moshiri is part of the reason why

We should stop chasing "names" altogether and look to build something with a talented young manager. I would accept 14th place if we were prepared to do that. It's essentially what Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig do and it's working out fine for them. Our billionaire owners lack imagination and believe throwing money at "names", both players and managers, will get us to the promised land. Maybe it will, what do I know, but it isn't working at the moment.

Maybe it’s because they tried the up and coming manager approach with Silva and that back fired massively?

I would also like to see us go down that route again but let’s be honest, if after 7/8 months things are t looking great they’ll be shown the door. This is the problem at the club, both the board and the fans mostly are trigger happy. Managers won’t be afforded time, even though a major rebuild is necessary.

Any young up and coming manager would probably think twice about taking on this beast.

Who else is there? We aren’t the only club currently looking for a new manager. You only need to look at Tottenham and their search for a manager to see what’s currently on offer, Palace if you want to include them.

No matter who the club appoint it’s going to be met with disappointment, just this one comes with more because of his previous ties with them across the park and that he hasn’t set the world alight since he left there.

Says it all when out of all the candidates we have been linked with I would have just been happy with Nuno and even then I think it’s a massive risk, the options are rubbish and tbf given our current status as circus club it’s what we deserve.
I literally just answered what I would do in a reply to another of your questions, it's almost as if you don't care about the answers and want to create the perception that there is only one manager in world football who would even consider taking millions of pounds to manage a team in the biggest league in the world.

Then the board need to grow a pair and give that approach a chance rather than sacking them in a knee jerk reaction. It's weird to me that the hill they have chosen to die on is the appointment of Benitez and not supporting a progressive manager trying to change the culture of the club. Don't get me wrong, Silva wasn't that man, Moshiri developed a fixation on him as well for some reason. Any young up and coming manager who turned us down lacks the ambition and vision that we need. I don't believe the narrative that this job is unattractive.

Probably harder than you think seeing as how Spurs are also struggling. You’d think that a team in the biggest league in the world like Spurs won’t have issues with finding a manager. But here we are.
