Agreed. Probably just sits on forums making up stories that the fans spin.
I know John and that’s exactly how it works.
He’s told me openly that their job is to knock out as many ‘articles’ per day as possible, often based on rumours coming from foreign language press, just translated into English.
Wouldn’t take anything from that site seriously.

That Southampton away game sent everyone west, I thought we were going after that, defo. Although I didn’t want Fat Sam.

Things got a bit hysterical at that time IMO. We had two very winnable home games in the next 6 days against West Ham & Huddersfield and won both comfortably. We were never in any danger at any time after that. One of the more short lived crises.

It's easy to look back with hindsight, I do believe we were in trouble; maybe not relegation level but it was bad.

Benitez plays similar football to SA, which will probably make things worse if he does become manager.

He didn’t say that mate he said currently what’s available and by the looks of things (see Spurs & Palace) there doesn’t seem all that much out there, experienced wise that’s available.

Hiring a young up and coming manager may be different but it doesn’t seem like the board are wanting to take that route IMO. Seems they want experience first.

There doesnt seem to be "all that much out there"...in the world?

Every single manager is available -- theres probably about 10 in the world out of reach for us.

Its not mate its reality.

If it wasnt Spurs and Palace would be holding interviews with Kovac, Ten Hag, Gallardo, Anorim etc. but they aint they are sniffing around Viera, Gattuso and Nuno.

Ask yourself why that is.

I have no clue what youre on about throwing random names around?

If that was the case we surely wouldn’t be appointing Rafael Benitez as our manager would we? Experience wise, which is what I believe the club are looking towards, we could do a lot better couldn’t we? Why would the club who have just lost one of the biggest names in European football set out to replace him with a manager who’s reputation has been on a big decline since the late 2010s solely?

I just find it hard to believe we have dismissed other better experienced options just to bring him here.

I do believe there is an element of managers being put off with our reputation of dismissals so early on and fan unrest. That doesn’t mean all will be put off but I’d say it also plays some significance

As I say it will be interesting to see who Tottenham get, they haven’t had any joy replacing Mourinho with an experienced head.

Im just trying to figure out and make sense in the boards decision making in all of this. I’m at the point in my time supporting this club of genuinely not being fussed anymore, it’s not worth the agro.

There is no sense to it.

Every manager we hire has a different style than the last and we swerve from one formation to another and begin again.

This is just another random appointment which makes no sense...the only one which has was Ancelotti.

Seeing Unsworth consult Joe Royle in the tunnel at half time like he was a total novice who'd been picked out of the crowd was enough to concern everyone I think. Was no surprise to see the board act after that game, he was clearly out of his depth.

It showed Unsworth wasn't the answer but absolutely did not show we were doomed to relegation and needed Sam.

Proportionality went out the window.

They are actually going to announce it during the England game, aren't they?

I know loads on here have been messing about suggesting that, I didn't take it too seriously, but it looks like it might actually happen. Ahh, Everton.
