If it's not today there's something seriously strange going on. It's 2 weeks since it was basically confirmed to be him, any more delays and i'd start to think there's problems behind the scenes rather than simple incompetence.

My thinking was the club is ultimately a business and I'm thinking the opposite to most. They will want it to be the top news story of the day. Spend today tweeting about Pickford and England and then announce it Wednesday or Thursday when Everton can be seen as centre stage. They kept Doucoure Allan and James locked in the Titanic for a week and staggered their announcements to maximise publicity and clicks. Probably the same here albeit the reception won't quite be the same

Before the appointment is made everyone should state their clear and concise opinion about Benitez so we can all be vaulted and held accountable in the future. I'll start. I don't want him, and I don't think he will do any better than mid table (probably 9th)while playing awful football. Lock it in.

I suspect it'll be exactly the opposite. If it was a manager the fans wanted then yes, they'd want it to be big news but as it's FSW I reckon they're waiting to bury the news when something else hits the news.

I'd be fine with FSW just turning up on the opening day of the season without it ever being announced.

The club could get him to wear a disguise and pretend he's someone else. The ruse would be rumbled at the first press conference when he referred to the club as a cloob, fact.
