Glen Johnson £17M; Robbie Keane £20M; Andrea Dossena (who?) £7M' Babel £11M. Bellamy was £6M in 2006, far from "buttons".
they're all good players, who you would expect to pay those prices for? they may not have been torres style success, but it certainly doesn't show he's poor in the market. Everyone was affer Johnson, everyone liked Keane.

Completely agree. It's this weird pretend world that Maddock, @Theoneandonly and several other blimps are peddling where he's left his LFC links behind him that has me laughing. His social media content is full of LFC retrospectives. And we've appointed him lol

He even goes to Liverpool games AS A FAN when he's not working.

A FAN!

The head patting from the reds on this is just as bad. They know and they are over the moon we are getting him. It's like us sending over Colin Harvey to bring them down from the inside.

I'm sure he will be great for us.

You just have to forget:
  • He managed our rivals
  • Called us a small club
  • His teams play crap defensive footy
  • He hasn't won anything for almost a decade
  • Half or more of our fans hate him
  • The chairman and rest of the board didn't want him
  • He wants complete control over everything, making our useless DoF even more useless
  • He got relegated with Newcastle
  • His last job was just for the money
  • He only wants the job because he lives around the corner
Once you take that out of it then he's a sound choice and we need to get behind him.
Cannae wait

Here we go mate.https://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/ByManager/20/1

Some very good signings, I'll agree, but some proper crap or Ill fated ones. Bit ott of me to compare him to Koeman on reflection.

But, soe were signed for a lot of money in some cases - more than we spent on Simon Davies etc.

Keane was loaned out after six months, I believe.

RB shouldn't be dicatating who we sign anyway we have a DOF if we carry on down the Carlo, three for the manager three for the DOF we are going to carry on failing.
