I mean at Chelsea he came 3rd in the league, got them to a league cup final and won the Europa League.

Then at juve he won them the league and got them to the final of their cup. All things considered I think he done quite well at both sides just that both sides demand more then that.

The issue with sarri-ball (and all styles of play) is it takes time to imprint a style on a team and at the big clubs you don't have time. They just want the quick fix that'll deliver as fast as possible.

Having said all that I dont really think that we have the players to play sarri-ball. You need good ball playing cbs that can play a high line and a midfield and forwards that can press.
Fair point. Given some patience to build he could be an interesting choice.
Certainly preferable to the Moyes/Nuno types.

Conte is supposed to be going to Spurs. Moyes is also about to sign a new contract with West Ham.

That's fine, Conte can fail at Spurs as they sell their best players and don't replace them resulting in him headbutting someone there. Moyes can carry on being boring and losing the games that matters. Neither really should affect us.

Not really no. He managed in Sweden, spent a little time down there with Swansea and went to Brighton.
If his name was Pøtesxc and he’d managed a foreign mid table team people would be a lot more excited.
I’d like to think we can do better but he’s probably the most interesting of the ex/current prem list other than Conte/Sarri obviously

I look at someone like Nuno and I think he's hit his peak or close to it, and that might be fine if it means he's getting us back into that 6th/7th range consistently, but Potter seems to have no fortune in his finishes right now and his peak might be higher. I just like that better. Signing someone who is possibly trending up.

Also it'll be somewhat watchable I think which would be nice.

Potter took over the Swedish team Østersund in 4 division, and spent 4 years leading them up to the top division. In the debut season, they came in 8th place, and eventually they won the Swedish Cup. He then led them to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League. Østersund had a rather limited budget compared to their competitors. It was a fantastic achievement.
