Love this forum

on one hand

Conte serial winner is not what we need

on the other

Potter who finished 17th and team can’t hit a barn door is exactly what we need
Potter wouid be my first choice. But if it came down to a British manager or British based. IE
Nuno, Moyes, Howe, Dyche or someone like Rafael. I think I wouid give potter a chance.

I’m not big into stats, but I’m going to use them lol
Brighton for a start conceded less goals. When I hear people compare him to Howe, well that should end that comparison.

XG Everton 49 Brighton 53
XGA Everton 50 Brighton 39
X points Everton 50
Brighton 61

I couldn’t find chances created, but I’m sure they created more than us.
Now this Everton squad, should finish above Brighton even With Mickey Mouse in charge. The fact they out performed us from
A stats point of view. Is embarrassing. Amd that’s either down to poor management from Carlo and not getting the best out of this group or potter out performing him.

I know a lot of people aren’t interested in stats, but I think a lot of clubs use them in this day and age. It’s like if you’re buying a winger. One has created 25 chances but only has 3 assists. The other has created 10 but has 9 assists. Which one wouid you buy.

Like I said he wouldn’t be my 1st, 2nd or 3rd Choice. But we know what we’re getting with Moyes, Nuno, Rafael, Howe. And dyche.

I think I’d rather take a punt on potter

He took over for 2 games and it all felt like a big gimmick at the time. He is nowhere near ready to take over Everton. He should follow Gerrards footsteps and manage in Scotland for a few years.
Dunc may only have been in charge for a few games, but our play definitely improved, and made enjoyable 'fairy-tale' viewing
Then he's had over a year learning the ropes from Carlo (like Arteta did under Pep before getting the Arsenal job).
We could do worse - at least Dunc knows the British game and Premier League expectations, unlike a few on the short-list.
