That's my worry. I see him as a climber. I think he knew that he had basically done everything he could at Wolves. Like it or not, the Prem has a massive glass ceiling and only Leicester have ever gotten through it in recent times. It'll only get harder and at some point Wolves' form would desert them.

Nuno got out before his reputation started to suffer. Same with Carlo, better for him he leaves before he is fired. Do we want another climber like that or do we want someone for the long haul? The club really needs to figure this out before the next appointment
Have we ever actually had a “climber”?

RM and MS were both - arguably perhaps - somewhat failures at their previous clubs (yes Martinez won the cup which was an excellent achievement, but he also got Wigan relegated after 8yrs in the PL).

Allardyce was… Allardyce

Ancelotti was already a managerial superstar, arguably on the decline and dropping down.

Koeman maybe, but it’s not like he failed here and got the boot, it’s not like he actually jibbed us. If he had, we’d have probably been in a much better state because he would have had to have been successful here

Koeman was the ultimate climber. Always had his eye on the next job. Of course Ancelotti did too, or at least there was a point when he realised he couldn't polish a turd and started thinking about bailing. Silva would have moved on to a bigger club had he not flopped. I think the players can see that in the managers and that affects their mentality

I'd be gutted if I was a Wolves fan. Nuno transformed the club.

But why did he go?
Don't really know. Wolverhampton papers say the club got rid of him, other people saying he wanted to leave because we need to cut back spending for a year or two. Whatever happened, the club said it was by mutual agreement. He is still well loved here, we've got big grafitti paintings of Nuno on walls and subways here in Wolverhampton lol
