The fans would never give Dyche a chance, so there’s no point

Nuno, Potter, Conte and even Pirlo would at least get some wiggle room to get it right

People would be thirsting for Dyche to slip up so they could stick their fangs in

It’d be a pointless appointment
The point is, this would be the case with every single manager we pick. Dyche is no exception.

He's bang average mate thats all there is to it.

EFC is too big a job he says he struggled dealing with Brighton's fans pressuring him he wouldn't last 2 minutes with our lot.
At least be accurate though. Calling it loco football like he doesn't have a solid base is just lying.

If the fans are never going to accept the appointment then what’s the point?

You need the fans behind the team and someone like Dyche would turn Goodison toxic very quickly

I think the majority might be prepared to give Potter a chance, but Dyche will be D.O.A
If it is the right guy people will come around.

The problem of course is Dyche isn't the right guy, so yeah it'll be bad.

Be just a complete pointless appointment. Unless he hits the ground running and has up around where we want to be he’d be chewed up by Christmas.

I think that applies to all the managers linked. They all at a level where it just seems pointless. I’d feel sorry for anyone taking this on but then I remember they will get paid handsomely and get a good pay off so sod them.

Neither Dyche or Potter would be accepted by the majority of the fans.

Dyche is where he belongs, hence why he doesn`t leave, despite the usual links every year to " bigger clubs "

Potter " may " go onto a bigger club someday, but he needs to prove himself at Brighton first.

Just staying in the league isn`t proving yourself.

Neither is playing " nice " footy, but not winning. We`ve already had one of those and that didn`t work.
