We cant use stats from one season to suggest he'll come in and make us defensively sound whilst also having us prolific in front of goal.

I'll back him if he came but I don't think the owners will look twice at him as he isnt big enough for this club.

Imagine him next to Klopp on the touchline.

Not being in favour of someone doesn't mean I wouldn't "accept' them if appointed.

There are candidates I do not want to get even near the job, but I'd still support the team, and by extension, them, if it comes to it.

Generally speaking, for me whoever gets the job, I'll give them a go (can hardly do otherwise), until a point came where results and/or performances made that support untenable.

Just that that point is reached easier and earlier if you perceive the wrong choice was made in the first place.

He's bang average mate thats all there is to it.

EFC is too big a job he says he struggled dealing with Brighton's fans pressuring him he wouldn't last 2 minutes with our lot.

I get what you're saying, and I dont want Potter, but I'm not sure hes average.

Hes either really good and has just been unlucky with Brighton and would massively improve with better players, or hes awful and would be found out.

I'm not sure it's a risk I would want to take at this point.

We'll see. I'd prefer him to Nuno that much is certain. He's not the only guy I'd want, but I think writing him off on results is ridiculous. We've got to think differently this time.
Not writing him off on results, he’s bang average. If Brighton had finished top half then maybe but they were lucky that 3 teams were far far worse than them otherwise they’d have gone down

He isn't big enough for the club is utter drivel I'm sorry. It doesn't mean anything.

I'm not writing him off based on results here are some results to show you why I'm writing him off

That's how I'm looking at it. You look atbthe names above, and the most popular is 25%, then 18% then 10%. So even if your top 3 is the top 3 you are just better than 50% of getting your top 3 choice in a best case scenario. So you have to accept, you probably arent getting your top choice.

My tope choice is Rangnick but would be very happy if we got any of Galtier, Ten Haag, Gasperini or Favre.

Most of the names are ok though. What matters more to me is if they can work to a system and we can build in a more sustainable way.

Of course it does. Come down to a home game and soak in the atmosphere and feel the electricity in the air and you will realise this job is still a very much big one despite us being crap over the years.

Different ball game losing games at the Amex and dealing with the pressure of just staying in the PL than it is losing games at Goodison and the pressure of needing to try qualify for Europe every season.

Neither Dyche or Potter would be accepted by the majority of the fans.

Dyche is where he belongs, hence why he doesn`t leave, despite the usual links every year to " bigger clubs "

Potter " may " go onto a bigger club someday, but he needs to prove himself at Brighton first.

Just staying in the league isn`t proving yourself.

Neither is playing " nice " footy, but not winning. We`ve already had one of those and that didn`t work.

On the list, I'm not sure many will be immediately accepted by most of the fanbase.

Just a question…

Do people on here not like Moyes because of his comments etc when he left? Is that the main reason or just didn’t like him as a manager?

Everyone says he’s not a winner which I get, he’s not my first choice but how many FA cup finals, semi finals & top 6 finishes have we had since he left?
