Odd take, given the media reporting has suggested we've not been that impressed by him.

The reporting suggests we are looking elsewhere.

Everton tell him he is “preferred choice” but do not offer him the job.
Palace contact him and offer him the job.
Anyhow, not confirmed yet.

the fact you're not spitting feathers makes me think he's not that great. i remember we were sniffing around Nuno a couple of years ago, and we were deluged with shreiking wolves.

Very different. Wolves fans thought they were bigtime when they came up and were doing well. Saw a lot of them saying they were bigger than Everton now blah blah blah.
Plus they're from the midlands. They're always angry.
