I just think there are managers out there who also play good football but have a better track record mate. Likes of Favre, Ten Hag are easy on the eye and probably less of a risk particularly the former.

Personally think the next manager has to be a Sgt Major who makes us hard to beat and focuses on hard work, high energy/fitness levels and grit. If we can add more pace to that style and make us an entertaining counter attacking type side blitzing with pace whilst being compact defensively that would do me more than when we try play possession based football as we always look slow and laboured.

Nice idea's but we don't do hard work, high energy, ( we tend to conserve energy quite a lot, especially during games) you were close with grit though, you were close because what we played, mostly ryhmed with grit !

Moved on mentally'? Are you having a laugh. We've moved on from top 6/7 to 12th and 10th

We need the NEXT Moyes for sure but it's laughable to try and downplay what he did here. We'll have done a decent job if we replicate the last few Moyes seasons even if they did get a bit stale and that's the sad reality of it. If we've moved on mentally then it's only backwards given some of us are seemingly happy with 12th/10th as long as it's a shiny name at the helm. Now that's mediocrity
Agree totally mate. Virtually nobody could have achieved what Moyes did on that transfer budget. We have moved on financially , but not mentally.

Impressive.

The only issue is it needs accurate 1 touch passing and energetic running into space. Complete reset needed to play anything like that level of attacking football.

That second goal is absolutely incredible. (unless you're a Park Ender)
Imagine if he gets Richarlison to focus on that part of his game improving.

I'll get out in front here and say we do not need to overpay for anyone at Brighton. Bissouma, Lamptey, White, Trossard and whoever else are all decent players but no one there is so good that we can't find a similar skillset elsewhere at a better price.
Who’s the one for you Ig? Who will lead us to the promised land?

I wouldn’t mind Potter coming to be honest, he can get rid of the highly paid wasters we have and replace them with hard working players who can string more than two passes together. Maybe he could bring Bissouma and Ben White with him.

There is no evidence he does this.

In fact didn't he bring in Lallana and Welbeck?

If it's potter I can't see it being a quick fix to change the style of this Everton squad will take time Carlo said a few times they can only play deep without possession plus you have to be brave to take the ball in certain areas are lads are definitely not that
If they won't play like that they'll be replaced. If Anthony Gordon knocks on Potter's door he's more likely to get him in for extra training sessions rather than farm him out on loan

So many forward passes in a move. I think we are too ambitious expecting one

I'm not spitting feathers because it's a fact of life for a club our size. We're used to it. I've only ever lost it over a transfer and that's when Murray went to Palace. And I lost it big time. Understandable that Wolves fans were spitting feathers. They say they're a club of comparable size to you.
Chris Houghton or Potter?

Potter for me by an absolute mile.

I only ask as I have seen plenty of deluded fellow Everton fans on twitter disgusted haven't gone all out for a 'Big name.'

My only worry with Potter is his teams play quick, incisive balls onto willing runners. We have a squad of bone idle meffs who like 2 or 3 touches before passing to the nearest (stationary) man.

I just think Potters over rated mate.

Moist never had a striker and finished 4th with us

Potter apparently doesn't have a striker at brighton and finished 16th.

Levels...

That was nearly 20 years ago. And once in nearly 13 seasons at the club. Football has moved on a bit. Thats why mourhino struggles now. Its not 2005
There is a risk with potter. But if you cant even accept his positive coaching style is maybe worth a gamble on a bigger stage then thats cool.
But not sean break down my two banks of four dyche for the love of god. We may aswell wave the white flag and say we're just here to finish 7th or 8th forever.
