I’m not dead against Nuno for sure. I also don’t doubt Rafael would probably keep us relatively stable but there’s too much baggage with him.

I think people imagining a Brands appointment to be out the box is slightly optimistic. At PSV he made 3 appointments. Phillip Cocu, a former PSV player, Dick Advocaat a former PSV manager and then Cocu again. At AZ his two appointments were Louis Van Gaal and Koeman. We're hardly talking about reinventing the wheel with any of those hires

I imagine Brands’ priority is finding a manager who works well with him rather than plucking the next tactical genius from obscurity.
