They did.

But my point still stands. If they improve and we don’t, you know the outcome.

They are only 2 points behind us and that’s after we beat them.
That's true of literally every team in every league in every country.

Dropping approximately £120M on players while not selling off their better players has probably been the biggest factor in helping them improve. That to me indicates what the most pressing matter at Everton is.

The Friedkins can sack Dyche and replace him with whoever but that alone will not be enough. Player recruitment is the number one issue in this forthcoming window.

The early signs suggest these are just trying to maximise profit with the minimum amount of investment possible. Dyche has to be sacked and they have to spend in January. Even if it involves creative deals with higher percentages in future years.

They should have been fully aware the club needs major investment from day one.

TFG must approach this with the correct intentions.

They must coordinate and co-operate with ingenuity to promote good aspects, through planning, creativity and reasoning.

Keep things within the realm of PSR rules.

Trust in the technical and societal responsibility skills in the development and coaching of young players through the clubs youth teams, enabling this with understanding.

Have a plan to manage existential risks from geopolitics, bad agents and bad possibilities.

Keep information within the realm of the club with action rather than words.

Entertain and educate.

Is there a reason we can approach a manager from another team? We haven’t since Silva/Watford. We have a ban or something?
I think it just costs money to go and take a manager directly from another club, and for various reasons we don’t want to spend money on this. Either we simply don’t have it or we want to minimise PSR losses. Might be different now under TFG but Moshiri was fed up of paying compensation for managers whether that be sacking them or paying for them to come from other clubs

Of course we need new blood.
But giving new blood to such a negative manager could also be a pointless exercise.

I do believe though that a fresh face and set of ideas would also improve things a bit. It must be so tedious playing for such a limited, one trick manager with the same tactics for every single game regardless of the opponent being Arsenal or Port Vale.

So far we know the plan is :-

Keep Dyche
Buy Dyche players
Doucoure, Mykolenko and Harrison starting most games (as has been the case under Dyche)
New signings stay on the bench
No youngsters being given a chance in the 1st team
And then there will be the expected drop off in results once it is official Dyche isn`t staying on...

Sorry but TFG have got this completely wrong, alot of the guys I know back a Goodison protest against Dyche.

Must have missed this statement from them, got a link to it?

Perhaps I am pushing this a little too hard, but I do feel like we`ve been hoodwinked slightly by TFG and all their statements for them to come in and keep the status quo and no plans to change what is failing immediately, it`s not like they rocked up 2 weeks ago and just assessing the club, they`ve been in and around it for many many months...

I`m thoroughly disappointed that we thought we would get change but it is just a continuation of what failed before! I want this club to be better but everything points to be sold to the Glazers 2.0
Sorry mate but you were always going to be disappointed if on Day 1 you expected TFG to sack Dyche and Thelwell and replace them with Pep and Monchi and bring in Messi on a free.

Change will undoubtedly happen but it will be slow and measured.

What does surprise and slightly worry me however is that they haven't appointed a new CEO and that other senior positions are interim. With the months of gestation I'd have expected them to hit the ground running from an an admin , commercial and business footing.

From what evidence do you make these deductions Sherlock?

Get a LB who is better on the ball, a CM who can actually play and even just a capable RW and we become a much better side. Rip it up and start again in January isn't any kind of guarantee.

Dyche may not play the silkiest football and in the long term doesn't hold a great deal of appeal but his tactics do get players into decent positions and do create decent attacking opportunities. We just have far too many players unable to capitalise on those opportunities.

Everyone knows the score, including TFG.

Change is needed with everyone singing from the same songsheet.

The manager has shown absolutely nothing in his career that’ll have us scoring more goals & winning more games. Hes another, quote a few on here, “firefighter” so this is the level we’re at until we move on from him.

Nobody is expecting us to turn into 70s Brazil if we sacked him tomorrow but a half decent COACH gets far more out of this side than we’re currently watching. The patterns of play is Championship level, we’re a horrendous football side who are absolutely toothless.

He done a decent job last season with the hand he was dealt (points deductions, ownership etc) but he’s got a better side this season & arguably gone backwards. Thanks for last year but it’s timeeeee to goooo.

December 19th they officially took over, 13 days ago

We had 16 years of Bill Kenwright being stingy and being hugely let off because 11 of those years we had a solid manager in place

We’ve just come out of 8 1/2 years under Moshiri where we spent like drunken sailors, went through managers like Watford, had two points deductions and have regressed back to 97-2004 when we were regularly in relegation battles (02/03 aside)

Yet people are already sticking knives in and comparing them to the circus down the M62 before they’ve even got feet under the table, I find that utterly astounding
