100% agree. Towards the end of his first stint, after multiple European qualifications and semi-decent cup runs he would constantly play down our expectations of doing anything at all, whilst simultaneously acting as an apologist for Kenwright's "me, me, me" drain the club of resources leadership. My main dislike of Moyes is/was I have an opinion of that he lowered expectations at the club when facing teams he deemed bigger than us.
I’ll be interested to see if he starts all that again after a few more losses against ‘the big boys’ quite what TFG make of it. What ever their motivations, o doubt it’s to finish 7th in the league and be painted as poor little Everton.

They don't want to hear the truth David. Preach brother.Oh they've done stuff:
- robbed a load of shareholders of thousands of pounds
- sacked a manager and spun against him to a load of Kopite hacks
- hired a washed up Scotsman who took the piss out of this club to replace said sacked manager
- spent the square root of f.a. on a threadbare squad while spending money like a drunken sailor on Roma
Pray for DAMOI didn't have one rich shareholder in mind when posting.
I've stated throughout that there are people with one or two shares who are going to get burnt here with the devaluation of their shares.
Why should they take a £3k-to-£6k loss on their script that they've held for years?
There surely has to be another way of squaring this off.
I suspect we might see a compromise.
Just out of curiosity what did you think those 2 things where? We're all wrong at some point. I've got things wrong on here. About twice.

For the record, I don't mind managers laying out the fiscal realities of a football club and the differences between that club and others but the goal of that should be to pressurise the ownership for better resources or to enhance the playing staff.
Moyes was the worst of both worlds, as he was essentially Kenwright's man spreading the message that we can't compete nor should we aspire to. He was a willing participant in our managed decline. It's the main reason I was against his reappointment.
I would have been far more supportive of him on his return if he'd called out Kenwright as he jacked us in. Not after 11 years of simpering. I don't want it both ways. I don't resent Moyes because he quit us, I resent him because he was Kenwright's safety blanket for years and years. There's only one thing worse than bosses, and that's the people who suck up to and cover up for the bosses. And yet people complain about him dumping us (Kenwright) for Utd. You can't have it both ways - maybe he got fed up carrying the can.

I don't want any of them back either. What I will say about Martinez, for example, is he never talked us down. Moyes was very happy for us to remain in our place. Constantly telling us not to expect more. He's not for me. If you're happy with it, fair dues, but I'm not.I don't really remember Martinez, Allardyce, Ancelloti, Benitez, Lampard or Dyche calling out the owner either.
I guess from my viewpoint Moyes made the Kenwright years bearable - they should have been worse really.

Yeah but TFG are in charge now! So assume Moyes gets most backing he’s ever had as an Everton boss.100% agree.
