Any Legal Eagles, I mean Damo, what does that even mean ?

ACAP have appealed the decision to a higher court that was made in New York court yesterday, that the settlement deal for our debt with 777 - isnt relevant to the injuncture granted to Leadenhall that 777 assets cant be disposed off by ACAP.

Basically ACAP are taking an appeal to the decision yesterday that the TFG can settle the debt with ACAP/777 - as they have agreed.

Paul Brown & The Esk continue to play silly buggers over on X. They literally can't help themselves, reporting on every little snag in this Leadenhall Case like it's potentially a disaster for the takeover..

Whether it actually is or not - I'm utterly convinced now that they like to get off on antagonising the fanbase.

Just read Brown's latest tweets - "Another twist", "What comes next will be even more interesting!". Tit.

That isn't what they're doing though

There are people in the fanbase that are clearly overly sensitive. As evidenced in your post plus replies to it

I don't think you can actually characterise this as a "snag"

It's literally just them posting there was a decision and then an appeal

The "twist" is this is just an ongoing court case

Both have already been clear this is unlikely to stop anything.

It's about timing and money, really 🤷‍♂️

ACAP are appealing the decision that TFG can settle their debt? Don't they want their money back?

There is a injuncture in the court mate, taken by Leadenhall that none of 777 assets can be disposed of - while Leadenhall's complaint that they were fraudulently misled to lend 600 mill to 777 is being heard ongoingly.

Our debt to 777 - is considered one of those assets and the court up held that yesterday.

Its also likely TFG have negotiated something more favourable the 200 mill to be repaid.

ACAP, TFG want to settle, the court is saying no and Leadenhall are looking out for their interests of not wanting ACAP paid this - while they are pursuing 777 for 600mill.

Precisely @Neiler

I don't see what some of the oversensitives are finding at fault in what Paul Brown is saying. At all

The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton does not hinge on the decision of the New York court presiding over A-Cap’s legal dispute with Leadenhall, the Liverpool Echo reports.

According to the outlet’s website on 3 October the prospective new owners may have to alter the way they go about dealing with the debt linking the club to that case, but it wouldn’t block it altogether.

Its not interpretation by any journalist or social media personality - its just commenting on events really.

There is so much at play here - that i think its draws from skills holistically outside everyone wheel house, that all that can be done is follow the events.

I see, so Leadenhall want the money that they loaned to ACAP/777 and they want to make sure it dosent go to ACAP/777 first, because ultimately they loaned it out in the first place. A tricky situation because Leadenhall have nothing to do with Everton or TFG.

Precisely. Why I think it odd that you have some posters on here shooting the messenger when all they have said is really, ACAP have appealed

Oh yes. I know now. The "Look Forward" brigade think they can dictate what people read or say

No. Just no. Let's have the facts and reporting of the events.

That's it mate - essentially its a chain of loans from others to 777 to us - they are fighting over the right of who deserves to be paid and on what terms and who has the authority to agree those terms. There is more involved in it then us - but essentially that how it relates to us.
