I understand the sponsorship necessity but I'm uneasy at the idea of a Coca-Cola type logo sitting alongside the 3 graces profile. While money is king in football, we cannot take advantage of the city in that way.

Money will talk. I think the temptation to use the view from the river (something no other club in England can come close to) is too lucrative to ignore. Tacky maybe but that view is worth millions.
 
As the senior and first professional club based in the City of Liverpool, I can't think of anything more appropriate than to have the word Liverpool in the stadium name.

The first purpose built, senior football stadium built in the City, one of the greatest footballing cities in the world, since the 19th Century should bear the city's name, especially with "the home of Everton football club" attached to it.

"Liverpool Waters Stadium, Home of Everton Football Club" would be immense IMO

I understand that but it must be done very sensitively. Everton are the city club and for blow ins like me, the city has real appeal on its own. While I love my club, I hate the idea of that cityscape being tainted by red neon. I know you are right in what you are saying but I hope the club manage this as befitting our heritage.

No it would not why would you want liverpooll as 1st name of Everton's stadium,absolute tripe.

That sounds, er, sound.

But not The Liverpool Stadium please. Or derivations of it. "The Home Of Everton FC" is vital in the official name until a naming deal gets sorted.

Bet it will be Pampers. Sake.

Because that's our City mate - I was born there as were 3 generations before me. I'm proud of everything that carries the Liverpool name, apart from that football club. Time we took back our heritage and represented one of the greatest cities in the world in the only way we can, the Everton way.

Mate not wanting to repeat myself but why would you as an evertonian even think that there name should be anywhere a new stadium we might or might not have I find it quite bizarre.
