New Everton Stadium

I appreciate it may appear as a divisive naming, but it's bold and it would show leadership and primacy, something we've not showed for 50 years. Dr David France was quite correct when he said we have been in decline for 50 years notwithstanding the brief period of success with HK Mark I.

From what I've been told this will be the finest club stadium in the country, including Spurs new ground, this is our chance to reclaim the ground lost off the pitch, we should grab it with both hands and go for it.
Mate I must be a different type of evertonian if there is such a thing it might be an age thing I don't know but for all your bold namings and leadership,it all boils down to there name, whether or not it's the name of the city I don't give a jot it's there name and I don't want it near the stadium if it happens.

Being realistic (and there'll be about 150 million reasons to be so) it's going to be The SPONSORS Stadium or The SPONSORS Arena. And if the club suggests some kind of amalgam sponsors will look at other examples and see they don't work....

Karen Earl Sports consulting director Tim Crow says: “There must be only one name, otherwise the media will edit it out. The sponsor relies on media mentions foremost – it is badging.” Crow points to Southampton’s [Friend's Provident] St Mary’s as an example of a sponsor being edited out, as well as Middlesbrough’s BT Cellnet Riverside stadium – a mouthful of a name, that was cut to Riverside long before the Cellnet brand ceased to exist.

I guess the stadium will end up with an official name or a project name whilst it's being built before naming rights are announced. But my guess if that's the case, is it won't be anything like as romantic as the 'Liverpool Waters Stadium'. I don't think it's a coincidence our new stadium scheme has the unmemorable "Northumberland Development Project" name attached to it at the moment, until its official sponsored name is announced. I wouldn't be surprised to see yours labelled - I don't know - the "Bramley-Moore Dock Regeneration Scheme" when (hopefully!) you get an announcement in the next few months.

It will be shown somehow that we are the senior club in the city of liverpool. Using the name liverpool is maybe too agressive in a way. But theres a brilliant chance to jump innit now and by 'claiming' Lets say Mersey in the name would be good in so many ways

And this is the absolute sum of it.

Let's hope we get a palatable sponsor!

Fair enough mate, I respect your view even if I don't agree with it - it's going to be a quality problem if we can't decide on a name for the finest club stadium in the country on the banks of the Mersey ;)

Got it ...the" Finest Club Stadium in the Country on the Banks of the Mersey Howard Kendall Arena " . Be great on Sky/BT Sports ..." Today's match comes live from the Finest Club Stadium etc ...:D

Just call it the Liverpool Stadium, it'll be edgy and it'll **** them off big time. lol

If Everton want to be the premier team in Liverpool we need to stop hiding in the shadows of our rivals and using that name will make a statement.

Liverpool is our clubs city.
