New Everton Stadium

They just need to devise a way to hide or mask seats for lower-attendance matches, without it looking naff. If the roof can somehow slide downwards to cover the uppermost seats, the capacity could be reduced from 60k to 50k and maintain the atmosphere.

This flexible build is an absolute must imo.
Are you saying flexible from 50 to 60,000 or 60 upwards?

Ah apologies, didn't read properly.

Flexible between 50 and 60, but I don't mind really, so long as it doesn't involve naff screens or simply covering seats with tarpaulin. If they can make retractable roofs, then they can make stand roofs that slide to cover rows of seats.

Failing that, the upper corners could be sealed off as they're generally the least attractive of all seats.

I genuinely think we could get max or close to max most games anyway...even for the novelty aspect of a brand new stadium.
As others have said, less attractive clubs than ourselves have seen their attendances rocket due to new grounds.

Sure, but I still think League Cup games, and the less attractive games vs lower table sides, you'd struggle to exceed 40k at current prices, so that's a lot of empty seats.

How many were at the game the other day?

Don't understand why some of out supporters have a go at the Welsh support. I would suggest we have had travelling support from there for 100 years given the proximity. I'm sure plenty of them are 3rd, 4th or even 5th generation Evertonians. We've been linked by train for a long time and given the fact that Liverpool was once dubbed the capital of north Wales, I don't have a problem with it.
back in the early eighties the only regular coach to EVERY game was Jones from Flint...Ally Baines absolutely the hardest coach driver ever!

And probably left those empty for a good few games in a season. Maybe, sometimes allow an employee to sit in them.

If Everton get it right in terms of the move, they will keep the season ticket holders together if they wish. Maybe offer extra early access to seats in the new stadium that represent the same seat in Goodison. So that you can kind of retain your view and the community around you doesn't have to change as much as they have at the likes of Wham and City who just went all out for everybody renew and claim a seat in a FCFS manner. I like my seat because of who sits around me as much as anything, it shoull also help with the transference of atmosphere and security.

It would have to be in 3 stages.

1. Claim the equivalent seat
2. STH wanting to move to another area
3. New STH

Agree that this is incredibly important, should be a lot of attention paid to this.
