building a brand-new stadium with a capacity of just 45,000 would send out a message to the world that EFC is a second rate club that can only think small. The likes of Newcastle, Sunderland, Arsenal, Man City, West Ham, Liverpool and Man Utd all have bigger stadia than that today.
Looks like it could take off! Here we go then
Firstly; where did you pull out that 45,000 figure
Secondly; you are way too fixated with other clubs stadium capacities

Miff ffs xMiff and several others have mooted the 45,000 figure.

To be fair we don't currently play by the Mersey. During the winter a roof would be a good option as winds can be awful down there at times.
Can't see why it wouldn't be allowed.are clubs allowed to play premier league games in a stadium with the roof shut ? genuine question..
even if not, having a retractable roof gives the club lots more options for stadium use and doesnt limit us to just football
Can't see why it wouldn't be allowed.
I seem to recall something about a cup final too.Bet at least one FA Cup final was under the roof in Cardiff.
And arnt the World Cup grounds in Quatar supposed be under cover and air conditioned?
Can't see why it wouldn't be allowed.
