New Everton Stadium

Based on the last attempt on moving, and the designs it promoted, these 'new age fans' are hardly likely to return. Even batlights couldn't drum up what was needed.

There has to be something unique about where we play, otherwise we lose that element I was talking about. Replicating the Ricoh isn't it.

I am not wholly against moving, would have loved the Kings dock, but I have little faith in the ambitions, reasons and abilities we are looking to muster for such a big change.

BTW, sneering is far away from what I am doing

I think there needs to be realism, as well as 'ambition'.

I'd agree that the design needs to be as 'unique' as our budget will allow, but whatever we end up with, it's still going to be a new build (even if we stuck in on the existing footprint!)

Given the last proposal it's only natural that we're already being cynical about the new offering that's seemingly about to be unveiled, but you never know, there's always a chance that they've got something we might actually quite like.

Quite right look at all those stadia that have been built recently for what ever sport, some look fine others not so. Did not stop Man City ot the Hammers grabbing their chance.

It is the neglect of the stadium that tends to drive the sentimentality. Goodison is a football ground, not a stadium, or concourse or house, purely a football ground. Not many of them exist anymore. It is what makes the place special. It is that which should be the driver. There have been greater suggestions as to how to renovate and upgrade than I could muster, but it has been shown to be both possible and feasible.

I reckon it is a part of our team we could ill do without, no opposition can counter the atmosphere or legislate for it when the supporters are up for it.

We shouldn't have let it get to this, but we have, and the driver to move is less to do with football than people acknowledge.

Sorry mate think the vast majority would love to stay, decision has been made to move tho.
The club has now got to deliver a Stadium worthy of its supporters, many many opportunities have been missed over the years.
Lets just hope & pray the board gets this right.Great to see Joe Anderson on board I for one trust him to push for the best possible deals for our club,
lets not have another Kirkby debacle, dont think we could take that again.

what's the origin of that ? I don't recall seeing it before

I really don’t understand why people would prefer a slightly bigger JJB stadium, rather than something like the Emirates, Wembley or the Kings Dock? The Kirkby / Wigan design model is an inferior one, and the idea that it results in a better atmosphere is just complete nonsense.
