New Everton Stadium

Oh goody, the BU are popping up again trying to make themselves feel important again, I thought their train had derailed a long time ago but I guess they've been in shadows waiting for another opportunity to spout utter wham.

The pointless union can GTF, they can swivel and don't need consulting on anything. These muppets will cause so much disruption that they'll end up jeopardising any progression of the club.

Club knows BU isnt representing the fans in general

This really.

They did some good work initially, I supported their initial views.

As if anybody is going to take them sticking their oar into something like this. Out of their depth and a massive cringe factor.

The Blue Union tweeted him saying they wanted a "meaningful dialogue" with fans regarding the stadium move. Joe Anderson replied asking what they meant by meaningful dialogue saying he would if he could. Then the Blue Union said they wanted consulting on location, facilities, transport links, safe standing, ticket prices and to be engaged with "on the whole package" so obviously Anderson then ignored them.

Quite right too.

Ridiculous the Blue Union are.

It shouldn't need the B U or any other organisation for the Club to do the reasonable thing: keep supporters reasonably well informed on stadium matters unless they are commercially sensitive.

At a later stage, they could issue an email or letter questionnaire on matters which affect the match going person / family if they wanted to get gut reactions to things: transport / carparking, catering etc.

I don't know about anyone else but I think I would leave all that to the experts, I'm sure the geniuses at BU would have Rupert towers in every corner until we had the chaviest stadium in the league. So let's address their worries one by one:

Location? The docks. (duh!)
Facilities? I'm sure Dan Meis and his team know more about facilities (& latest ones at that) than BU.
Transport? One cycle path connecting the stadium to the outside world...What do they really think will go on with this, there's legislation for a start regarding mass movement of people from and to venues...
Safe standing? I guess would have to be implemented in a lot of other PL clubs before we have it so no need to worry about it until people can see it's fine. Not like it can't be retro fitted anyhow.
Ticket prices? It's up to the club to set. If no one goes to the game, there too high, if they get full houses, then the demand is about right for the price. It's not rocket science is it??

Can't we disown them? If there is a legitimate issue then I'm all for a group trying to mediate with the club but I think their just trying to leverage some info so they can seem relevant.

Coming from a position of having nothing to do with the BU, I did notice they posted this at the weekend

Whilst they've got a lot wrong over the last couple of years, I think on this occasion they were merely requesting engagement with the fanbase in the whole new stadium process, and even clarify this by stating that they are not looking for any special involvement for themselves

Consult with the City Council - that's sensible
Consult with architects - that's sensible
Consult with land owners - that's sensible
Consult with fans who'll sit in the thing - "WTF! No chance. That's ridiculous. Cheeky upstart gets".

Who's saying don't consult with the fans? This all started because the BU tweeted the mayor to ask to be consulted on ticket prices and stadium facilities amongst it her things.

I think this conversation is more about the BU acting like thumbs than whether fans should be consulted or not.

Excuse me but that phrase is reserved exclusively for describing actions of Roberto Martinez.
